At Superior Choice Credit Union, our Credit Analysts are more than financial reviewers. They are trusted partners, risk assessors, and key contributors who help support responsible commercial lending decisions for our members and communities.

What You’ll Do

As a Credit Analyst, you’ll work closely with lenders to evaluate commercial credit requests, assess risk, and provide clear, accurate analysis that supports thoughtful lending decisions.

  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other data to assess the strength of business members’ credit requests
  • Perform initial credit analysis to determine alignment with credit union policies and guidelines
  • Assist with or prepare clear, concise credit presentations for lending decisions
  • Monitor loan collateral, valuations, and inspections to ensure compliance with agreements and loan covenants
  • Support lenders with ongoing portfolio management and problem loan administration
  • Prepare and maintain reports on members’ credit obligations and financial performance
  • Collect and organize financial data directly from members when needed
  • Update and maintain credit and loan systems with accurate data entry and reporting
  • Contribute to special projects and support team initiatives
  • Represent SCCU’s mission of improving the financial well-being of our members

What Makes You a Great Fit?

You enjoy analyzing financial information and turning complex details into clear recommendations. You’re dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with lenders, members, and internal teams.

  • Has 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or a related financial role
  • Must have commercial credit, commercial lending, business banking, or related commercial experience
  • Must live in the Twin Cities, Twin Ports, or surrounding areas
  • Enjoys analyzing financial data and translating it into clear recommendations
  • Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy
  • Communicates complex financial concepts clearly and professionally
  • Can manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Is comfortable using loan software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office

  • Have experience working with commercial or business lending portfolios
  • Are skilled at identifying potential risks and offering proactive solutions
  • Enjoy building relationships with internal teams and supporting lenders
