Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team within the Multifamily CFO group. The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in leading financial forecasting for quarterly forecast, annual stress testing, and scenario-based analysis. This individual will lead a group of analysts and oversee key reporting deliverables while driving insights into earnings performance and key business drivers. This role serves as a primary business contact for business requirements relevant to earnings forecasts, partnering closely with technology teams to enhance and maintain forecasting tools and ensure alignment with evolving business needs and GAAP financial accounting & reporting. The individual will partner across functional teams to support financial forecast, analytics, and performance reporting.

Finance Division's Multifamily CFO group is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, profitability analysis, loan and guarantee valuation activities, financial planning & analysis, and regulatory capital reporting for Freddie Mac's Multifamily business segment. We are on a mission to expand affordable rental housing for all Americans, while building a better multifamily finance system.
The Multifamily Financial Planning and Analytics team within Multifamily CFO group is responsible for financial forecasts, annual stress testing, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and the relevant process enhancement and system implementation.
Your Impact:
As the FP&A manager for Multifamily Finance, your will be responsibilities for:
Financial Forecasting & Analytics
- Lead the preparation and analysis of short-range and long-range financial forecasts with a focus on key business drivers, such as net interest income, market spreads, interest rates, and credit loss projections
- Analyze variances between actual results and forecast, identifying key drivers and business implications
- Provide reporting and analysis to facilitate decision making
- Ensure high quality and timely delivery of financial forecasts
- Maintain process and procedure documentation
Stress Loss Forecast
- Oversee earnings forecast for regulatory stress testing (DFAST) and other regulatory reporting processes
- Ensure consistency and alignment of forecast methodology across various executions
- Deliver analytical insights on loss drivers, portfolio performance, and sensitivities under stress conditions
- Prepare materials and presentations for senior management, risk committees, and regulators
Scenario Modeling & Risk Insights
- Execute scenario analyses, including macroeconomic shocks and business strategy impacts
- Evaluate profitability implications under varying economic conditions with a focus on credit losses
Forecasting Systems & Business Requirements
- Provide business requirements for system enhancements and automation initiatives
- Collaborate with technology partners to implement system improvements and ensure data integrity
- Drive process efficiency through automation and streamlined workflows
Leadership
- Manage and develop team members
- Promote strong analytical rigor and governance
- Partner across Finance, Risk, and Technology teams to support enterprise forecasting objectives
- Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives related to financial forecast and analytics
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in GAAP financial accounting, analytics, financial forecast, and credit analytics
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Relevant experience with earnings forecasting and financial modeling
- Applicable experience with regulatory stress testing (e.g., DFAST) and credit analytics
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with large datasets and data-driven analytics
Preferred
- Experience within financial services, banking, or mortgage finance
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting
- Prior experience supporting or owning forecasting systems or model enhancements
- Prior knowledge in business reporting systems (e.g., Power BI)
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certifications (CFA, CPA)

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $139,000 - $209,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
