Job Description Summary
Assist with undergraduate and graduate level fieldwork in Attallah College of Educational Studies. Works with other staff to provide support assistance and coordination of credential requirements and other related tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
Teacher Education Fieldwork Support with
  • Teacher Education Fieldwork Support
  • Supports the administration of undergraduate and graduate fieldwork and Student teaching applications
  • Communicates Fieldwork protocols and deadlines to students and faculty via email and in orientations
  • Support student teaching and fieldwork placements
  • Communicate with district partners and students regarding fieldwork placements
  • Support Orientation and training meetings
  • Collects and maintains fieldwork-related data
  • Verifies student enrollment information
  • Tracks student fieldwork hours
  • Participates in creation and updating of Teacher Education handbooks and forms
  • Upload required documents to ImageNow/Tevera
  • Attend department and program meetings as required

Credential Process Support - in collaboration with other credential-related staff
  • Receives and disseminates credential-related information to students and staff.
  • Assists with planning workshops
  • Reviews records for completeness and specific information
  • Updates student records and program requirements
  • Support Subject Matter verification process with identification of documents in student files
  • Notifies students of established credential requirements and deadlines
  • Responds to routine inquiries regarding credential processes and requirements, as directed
  • Data tracking and reports assistance in Tevera
  • Update credential handbooks
  • Other duties as assigned

Undergraduate Majors and Graduate Program Support - in collaboration with Program Directors and staff
  • Provides administrative support to program directors and staff for assigned program activities.
  • Assists with program events, meetings, communications, materials, and other routine administrative activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills to plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines and help students find appropriate field placements and file credential applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
  • Strong technical skills to learn and use enterprise and other systems needed to perform job functions

Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or professional credential in the educational field (e.g., MA in Education, multiple or single subject teaching credential, special education teaching credential)
  • A minimum of three years' experience in pre-k-12 educational settings
  • Working knowledge of State standards and requirements for teaching and service credentials.
  • Knowledge of educational practices in California school systems related to the employment of teachers and teaching interns and credentialing process
  • Knowledge of video file creation, compressing, transferring and uploading
  • Ability to learn PeopleSoft, ImageNow, Tevera, Canvas, Qualtrics, and GoReact.
