Job Description

As a Security Officer - Credential Verification in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to alarm notifications and security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured entry points, or conditions requiring attention.
  • Complete accurate reports, logs, and shift documentation regarding access activity, incidents, patrols, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience using an alarm panel is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
