What We Need:

2K is looking for a Manager, Global Social Marketing, to join the Digital Community Marketing team and help develop and execute best-in-class Social Marketing campaigns across the Firaxis portfolio, including the Civilization and XCOM franchises. 

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Social Marketing, support the development of the social marketing vision and strategy for the portfolio, and drive the execution of the social campaigns throughout the lifecycle of the franchise projects. The ideal candidate will be a gaming enthusiast with a passion for the Civilization and XCOM franchises, with expert knowledge and deep drive for social marketing campaigns that serve player communities.

What You Will Do:

Social Marketing

  • Serve as the social marketing expert, collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize and streamline efforts, while managing expectations, timelines, and needs of the team to execute social marketing workstreams and campaigns.
  • Collaborate in the development of our social marketing strategy with the Sr. Manager, Global Social Marketing.
  • Develop and execute social marketing campaigns from audience insights that align with our identified target audiences.
  • Develop social engagement and growth performance metrics, providing in-depth performance analysis and consistent reporting on campaign performance, channel engagement and player sentiment.
  • Steer creative ideation and social content development needed to launch best-in-class campaigns.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional publishing partners (Brand Marketing, Community Management, Creator/Influencer Marketing, Product Management, Insights & Analytics) in defining social marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Regularly partner, present, and report to key stakeholders on social marketing strategies, plans, findings, results, and recommendations that influence product and marketing roadmaps in service of our players.

What Will Make You a Great Fit: 

You will develop and implement platform-specific global social marketing strategies to increase our presence across social channels, increase cultural relevance for our game & brand, and promote positive sentiment and growth for our player communities.

Must have strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills. Proactivity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity are crucial for success in this strategic and hands-on role. 

  • A proven track record (4-6+ years) as a Global Social Marketing leader in live service games.
  • An expert in social marketing, skilled at crafting integrated social marketing strategies across channels and touchpoints.
  • Deep understanding of community & social media platform nuances globally (especially Twitch, YouTube, Discord, TikTok, Reddit, Steam and other gaming platforms).
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with social marketing and reporting tools, with a keen sense of what, why, and how metrics need to be delivered on.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Powerful presentation skills with the ability to create compelling presentations to support strategy and thinking, as well as present to both peers, reports, and company leadership.
  • Strong team management skills and cross-functional leadership competency, with an understanding of a matrixed organization and how to navigate.
  • A strong leader who can make critical decisions quickly, while taking a measured approach to risk, and be willing to have the hard conversations when needed.
  • Flexibility and the ability to pivot directions when needed.
  • Good taste in content and an eye for which social marketing approaches will move the needle.
  • Extensive knowledge of a wide array of gaming genres and communities.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,200 and $148,320 Year.  However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, suchas job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program. 

Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company's discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses.
