Producer/Videographer of Creative Services
Job Description
Serve as a member of the athletics department content creation team as a producer/videographer. Responsibilities include: Video production, including shooting, editing and post-production, for the athletics department and all 20 intercollegiate athletics teams; producing event highlights and feature packages; producing social media content; managing distribution of highlights to external entities, including media agencies, conference and NCAA offices, and external agencies; managing freelance videographers. The ideal candidate must be a team player and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight completion deadlines, work independently, communicate effectively and emphasize creativity in his/her work. Must be able to work nights and weekends. This is an 11-month position.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in broadcasting, television/video production, communications or related creative field.
  • Two or more years of professional experience in shooting live sporting events, studio interviews and special events, editing video, writing, and post-production.
  • Strong knowledge of sports, promotional spots and commercials is necessary.
  • Knowledge of video archiving systems essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in a team environment.
  • Must have working knowledge of NCAA and Atlantic Coast Conference rules.
  • Experience in managing and training student workers preferred.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • Video production skills, including shooting, editing, writing and post-production, for content for various platforms.
  • Motion graphics experience preferred.
  • Sports social media knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrated video archiving skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of footage acquisition with various cameras and formats.
  • Effective time management skills with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and be a team player.
  • Ability to mentor staff and students.
  • Very self-motivated with the ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate coverage for 20 intercollegiate athletics teams to include highlights for Cuse.com, awards/banquets, commercial production, and outside media and external agency requests (ie. ESPN, ACC, NCAA, network news, and special projects.) Also gather footage of all sports for the 'Cuse Awards and produce content for the show.
  • Produce creative content. Responsible for video production, including writing, shooting, editing, and post-production of content for team recruiting, athletics production, athletic communications (Cuse.com and social media accounts) and marketing (video boards, promotional videos, team entrances, special events, and television commercials). Includes coverage of games, practices and special events.
  • Travel with select sports.
  • Responsible for archiving and managing footage, with considerable time spent on archiving process with athletics production department.
  • Responsible for management and organization of cameras and editing equipment. Responsible for management and coordination of interns.
  • Other duties as assigned
