Position Summary

We are currently seeking a versatile, organized, and results-oriented Marketing Manager to join our Communications team in our Burnsville, MN office. Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, this role implements integrated communications and marketing strategies that strengthen brand visibility, support Accredited Business growth, and enhance community engagement. The Marketing Manager leads campaigns across email, digital, social media, web, media outreach, and events; guides team members, clients, and partners; and ensures messaging is clear, consistent, data-driven, and aligned with BBB’s mission to build marketplace trust.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, social media, digital channels, website, media outreach, and events

· Lead marketing strategy for events—including the Torch Awards, Annual Meeting, programs, and community events—to drive attendance, visibility, and post-event engagement

· Translate organizational goals into campaign strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and revenue through segmentation, automation, testing, and performance optimization

· Manage campaign plans, timelines, deliverables, and reporting to keep projects on track, meet deadlines, and achieve results

· Lead digital marketing and social media strategies, including paid campaigns and the Google Ad Grant program, while ensuring consistent, engaging, mission-aligned content

· Use Adobe Analytics, CRM tools, and other analytics platforms to assess historical performance, predict results, monitor trends, and translate data into recommendations for leadership

· Manage BBB.org/Minnesota and related web properties, content plans, social calendars, and posting cadence to improve user experience, traffic, engagement, and conversions

· Write reports, presentations, talking points, run-of-show materials, and other content; guide short-form video and storytelling strategies; and coordinate messaging and creative assets across teams

· Provide one-on-one marketing and social media technical assistance to participating small businesses, including digital-platform optimization, sustainable content calendars, mobile-first video creation, storytelling, and customer engagement

· Serve as a trusted advisor and ambassador for BBB’s marketing and studio services while managing client relationships with strong project management, customer service, and quality deliverables

· Coordinate internal newsletters, Teams updates, leadership communications, and other organizational messaging that informs, engages, and aligns employees with BBB priorities

· Manage and mentor the Graphic Designer, Project Administrative Specialist, potential interns, and creative contributors; provide direction, feedback, and coaching in a collaborative, accountable, growth-oriented environment

· Participate in and present at staff and leadership meetings, support cross-functional initiatives and organizational priorities, and perform additional duties assigned by the Vice President of Communications

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

· Five or more years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or digital content

· Experience managing people and multi-channel campaigns

· Strong expertise in digital marketing, email marketing, and social media strategy

· Experience with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, CRM tools, and performance reporting

· Exceptional writing, verbal communication, editing, content strategy, and presentation skills across multiple platforms

· Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while adapting as needed

· Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and improved outcomes

· Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and work with a wide range of individuals

· Willingness to be hands-on when necessary while maintaining a big-picture focus; self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and accountable

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Planner

· Experience with email marketing platforms, CRM systems, and social media tools

· Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, CORE CMS, AEM, and Storyblok preferred

· Experience using and implementing AI technologies to improve organizational productivity and processes

· Photography, video, or design experience is ideal; bilingual skills are a plus


Compensation & Benefits:

· Starting salary range: $55,000 - $65,000
