Summary:
The Videographer/Photographer Student Worker will assist in capturing, editing, and producing high-quality visual content to support the department's communication and marketing efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in photography, videography, and post-production, while fostering the development of key career-ready skills in creativity, communication, and digital literacy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photos and videos for events, marketing campaigns, and social media platforms.
- Edit photos and videos using software such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop) or other editing tools.
- Collaborate with team members to develop creative concepts and storyboards for visual content.
- Ensure all visual content aligns with the department's branding and Maryville's mission.
- Organize and maintain a digital library of photos and videos for future use.
- Stay updated on photography and videography trends to enhance the department's visual storytelling.
- Assist with other creative projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with photography and videography, including shooting and editing.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and composition.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for visual arts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with social media platforms and creating content tailored to digital audiences is a plus.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar tools.
Position Pay: $15/hr
Hours per week: 10 hrs
Start Date: 08/01/2026
End Date: 05/01/2027
