Classification: Intern, Part-Time, 20 hrs/wk, Non-Exempt, 1-year commitment 

Ministry Area: Creative Arts

Location: Chanhassen 

Reports to: Kari Hall

Ministry Area Purpose:  

Creative Arts: We steward moments of Spirit-led creativity that inspire people to?respond and draw closer?to Jesus.


Role: 

Be a contributing member of the Film Content team by helping in any and/or all aspects of the production process. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Working alongside the Creative Arts team to learn and help with all phases of video creation from collaborative ideation, storyboarding and filming through post-production and effectiveness debrief 
  • Asset gathering (photo, video, or other) and ideation for social media purposes 
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Align to and live out the Westwood Staff Values: Head High, Heart Soft, Arms Linked, Feet Forward

Relationships: 

  • Reports to designated Filmmaker 
  • Collaborates with all ministry areas and broader Creative Arts team in producing creative video content 
  • Works alongside volunteers in various roles 

Requirements

  • Familiarity with professional video cameras and other related gear 
  • Familiarity with professional video editing software 
  • 1-2 years education and/or experience in professional video production 
  • Comfortable using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite 
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic operation of a computer 
  • Ability to work in team 
  • Ability to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to perform under stress 
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback  
  • High capacity to learn new things 
  • Ability to follow through on tasks and follow through with people 
  • Familiarity with both Mac and PC operating systems helpful 
  • Creative capacity & flexibility
