Job description

Description:

As an Information Technology Director, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all IT functions across the organization. This role is responsible for aligning technological initiatives with business goals, ensuring high system availability, driving innovation, and maintaining compliance and security standards. You will oversee the internal infrastructure, networking, and help desk operations while promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture across the department.


What You’ll Be Doing/What You’ll Need:

Windows Systems Administration

  • Familiarity with Windows Server OSes, Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, File Shares and permissions.
  • Ability to script in PowerShell is a must.
  • Experience with Intune, Autopilot, and other Microsoft 365 applications expected.

Linux Systems Administration

  • Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems (both Debian and RedHat based), DNS, NFS, NTP, Apache, nginx, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong skillset in scripting via Python and/or a common shell (sh, bash, ksh) is a must.

Ability to support Go and .NET software development and deployment in both containerized and non-containerized environments.


Security Administration

  • Familiarity with EDR/XDR software, Firewall Administration, Internet-connected email security, digital forensics, and incident response procedures.
  • Capable of managing and securing SSOs.

Network Administration

  • Familiarity with common switches, routers, and access points and the configuration and management of those devices including VLAN-ing, PoE management, and link aggregation.
  • Additional familiarity with IP subnetting and DHCP for endpoint assignment.
  • Must be able to manage multiple site-to-site and endpoint-to-site VPNs from a variety of manufacturers.

Storage Administration

  • Familiarity with SAN (block-based) and NAS (file-based) storage and management of each.
  • Firm understanding of RAID principles.

Backup Administration

  • Familiarity with common backup and data protection methodologies.

Email Administration

  • Familiarity with administration and management of multiple SMTP endpoints with inbound and outbound relays, mail protection, and antispam measures.

Inventory Management

  • Ability to properly inventory and track all assets within the IT organization.

Compliance Administration

  • Ability to support the business’s efforts from the compliance standpoint including managing the IT portion of PCI-DSS and other associated items.
  • Must be capable of performing impromptu and ad-hoc scanning to support findings and validate positives/false positives.
  • Must have strong attention towards a healthy patching regimen and vigilance towards the current threat landscape.

Physical Security Management

  • Ability to manage access control systems, camera systems, and other physical security devices from an IT standpoint. This includes a strong knowledge of networking for those devices and proper segmentation.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
