Maayan HaTorah, a small, nurturing K-8 private Jewish day school in Lake Oswego, OR, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher for our blended Kindergarten/1st Grade classroom for the 2026-2027 school year.
We are looking for an educator who is passionate about supporting young children's development academically, socially, and emotionally in a challenging, student-centered learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • Elementary teaching experience required; teacher certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to teach core academic subjects to students with varying developmental needs and learning styles
  • Commitment to hands-on, engaging, joyful, and student-centered instruction
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and actively participate as a member of a supportive learning community
  • Classroom management skills to foster a positive, respectful classroom community in alignment with the Responsive Classroom approach
