About the role

We are seeking a VP, Brand Strategy to shape what brands stand for, where they need to go, and why they matter. This role owns the strategic foundation that helps brands uncover their sharpest point of differentiation, connect more meaningfully with audiences, and create a clear path for long-term growth. ย 

This individual will serve as the day-to-day strategic lead for clients and internal teams, ensuring brand strategy drives sharper positioning, stronger audience connection, more effective creative work, and measurable business impact. They will bring clarity to complexity, align teams around a shared strategic vision, and help turn insight into work that moves the brand forward.ย 

What you'll do
  • Lead end-to-end brand strategy across key accounts, owning direction, quality of output, and overall impact.ย 

  • Define brand, go-to-market, and creative strategy, including positioning, messaging architecture, competitive strategy, and strategic foundations.ย 

  • Lead client workshops, strategic discussions, presentations, and day-to-day engagement.ย 

  • Translate insights, research, audience needs, and business objectives into actionable plans, briefs, and recommendations.ย 

  • Ensure execution remains aligned to brand strategy, identifying gaps and course-correcting as needed.ย 

  • Partner cross-functionally with Creative, Medical/Scientific, Media, Account, Engagement Strategy, Analytics, and other teams to bring strategy to life.ย 

  • Manage, mentor, and develop junior strategists, providing clear direction and feedback.ย 

About you
  • 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, strategic planning, or related strategy roles, preferably within healthcare, pharma, life sciences, or a highly regulated industry.ย 

  • Proven ability to independently lead strategy across complex accounts, including setting direction, guiding clients, and owning deliverables from start to finish.ย 

  • Experience developing brand positioning, messaging architecture, strategic foundations, go-to-market strategy, creative briefs, and campaign strategy.ย 

  • Experience applying audience and insight development, including market research, customer insights, segmentation, patient journeys, and behavioral drivers.ย 

  • Skilled storyteller, facilitator, and presenter with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives.ย 

$170,000 - $215,000 a year
