Job description

Associate Strategy Director
About broadhead.
At broadhead, we believe bold ideas create meaningful impact. We work with clients who are transforming the way we live and work, and we pride ourselves on being a smart, collaborative team that gets things done and makes a difference. We have team members in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Delafield, Wisconsin, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Position Summary
broadhead is looking to hire an experienced strategist to be part of our evolving Strategy Group and consulting practice. Our ideal teammate is ready to step into ownership of strategic work across assigned accounts. This role blends traditional account planning with business problem solving, cultural insight, and emerging AI-enabled strategy. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy — leading strategy day-to-day without direct VP oversight — while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, driven, and eager to grow into senior leadership. Someone who pushes forward ideas, brings new ways of thinking, and delivers meaningful value to clients and teams. This position would have a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
· Own and lead strategy across assigned accounts, serving as the primary strategic partner to clients and internal teams.
· Translate business challenges into clear strategic direction and actionable frameworks.
· Design and conduct research (qualitative and quantitative) or manage research partners as needed.
· Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to inform strategic thinking.
· Develop briefs, POVs, and strategic recommendations that inspire creative and media solutions.
· Collaborate closely with Media, Performance Marketing, Data Science, and Creative teams to ensure integrated thinking.
· Apply a ‘paid is paid is paid’ mindset — ensuring strategy translates into effective paid activation and measurable outcomes.
· Contribute to measurement thinking and understand how strategy connects to performance.
· Engage with and contribute to the development of Prism, broadhead’s AI-powered insights platform.
· Integrate AI tools into research, synthesis, and workflow where appropriate.
· Present thinking clearly and confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
· Facilitate workshops, briefings, and working sessions across teams.
· Self-direct and manage projects without day-to-day supervision from senior leadership.
· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
· Perform other duties as assigned to meet the changing needs of the agency.

Qualifications
· 5–8 years’ progressive agency account planning or strategy experience (or related work).
· Curious to the core and motivated to own the strategy relationship across assigned accounts.
· Gathers and synthesizes information quickly, reducing complexity into clear direction.
· Able to tell a compelling, concise story through insights and strategic thinking.
· Thoughtful, opportunistic, and driven to continuously learn and evolve.
· Culture-driven and data-fueled in approach.
· Comfortable pushing thinking forward — with both clients and internal teams — in a kind, direct manner.
· Sees context and implications across complex business challenges.
· Systems thinker with the ability to connect ideas across disciplines.
· Embraces ambiguity and works collaboratively to find clarity.
· Passionate about solving real business problems.
· Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action.
· Experience in agriculture, food systems, or complex B2B industries a plus.
· Advanced education or deep expertise in an area of personal passion preferred.
· Understanding of design thinking and its application across business challenges.
· Experience working in environments that require both structure and disruption.
· Interest in AI and emerging technologies applied to strategy.
· Comfort working in a hybrid, evolving, and entrepreneurial environment.
· Fast thinker and adaptable problem solver.
· Detail oriented.
Why broadhead.
At broadhead, you’ll find a place where bold thinking is celebrated, hard work is rewarded, and people come first. We offer a dynamic, inclusive culture where your voice is heard, your talents are valued, and your growth is a priority.
