The Role The Marketing team is an integral part of gimMe’s growth strategy, and the Social Media & Community Management Specialist is vital to achieving our objectives. The focus of our Marketing plan is to grow household penetration by driving awareness and trial of seaweed with our target audiences. Reporting to the Brand Manager and working in close partnership with the Marketing team, you’ll be responsible for executing a social marketing strategy that drives visibility of the gimMe brand, engages consumers with best-in-class content, and delivers real impact and results. You’re a passionate marketer who is creative and analytical, collaborative and accountable, and are eager and energized to make seaweed a mainstream snacking sensation. Core Responsibilities * Execute and refine the social strategy in support of our business and marketing objectives, working in close collaboration with the broader Marketing team to ensure alignment and integration. Continually optimize towards awareness, engagement and followership; current channels include Instagram (primary focus), Facebook and LinkedIn. * Create and execute a compelling, consumer-driven content calendar for all social channels that embodies the brand tone and visual aesthetic. * Create and execute a compelling, consumer-driven content calendar for all social channels that embodies the brand tone and visual aesthetic. Develop a scale-able content model and platform that leverages proprietary, user generated and influencer content along with a curated roster of creative resources that collectively express our brand tone. * Manage and engage with social communities, responding to comments, inquiries, and complaints working in close partnership with QA, Sales and Marketing. * Identify and measure KPI’s through a social management platform. Generate regular performance reports that track results and surface actionable insights. * Cultivate partnerships with like-minded brands, influencers and tastemakers to expand our reach with coordinated content, collaborations, outreach and giveaway opportunities, working in partnership with our Marketing and PR teams. * Define and manage the social budget, including content creation, boosted posts, tools and applications. Who You Are * You’re a social media aficionado with a sharp eye for design, a strong grasp of best practices, and an agility to work in ‘real-time.’ Your portfolio of work demonstrates an aptitude for creating a clear brand aesthetic, and telling rich, multi-layered stories. * You’ve also developed an analytical muscle and know how to harness data to uncover insights and drive decisions. You set, measure and optimize against key measures. * You have a deep sense of empathy and curiosity for our consumer, with an intuitive sense of how to connect with them in meaningful, authentic ways. You keep tabs on the brands and business vying for their mindshare, and cultural trends and events shaping their behaviors. * You’re comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy, are willing to take initiative and can juggle multiple priorities to deliver projects on-time and on-budget. * You believe ‘how’ work gets done is just as important as ‘what’ work gets done. * You engage with thoughtful and intentional communications and contribute to building positive culture. Preferred Qualifications * Years of Experience: 2+ years’ experience in social media community management,marketing and copywriting; food and start-up experience are a plus * Education: Bachelor’s degree required * Proven track record of leading content development and execution that captures our brand tone/voice and fuels community growth and engagement across platforms * Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data and manage reporting tools * Exemplary organizational and project management skills * Natural communicator and can deliver stories verbally and written, and know how to draft clear, actionable briefs to guide the creative development process * Experience working with design, photo, and video editing software * Experience managing website and email content; Shopify experience a plus * Growth mindset, always curious, and eagerly pursue development opportunities.
