Job description

The Creative Services Team Lead leads a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, forward-thinking creative assets across all Amergis brands. This role provides creative direction for assigned initiatives, ensuring all work aligns with established brand standards and campaign objectives.
The Team Lead plays a key role in driving alignment across creative disciplines, ensuring cohesive execution across design, video, and supporting content.
In this role, the Team Lead oversees the execution of design and video projects, manages timelines and workflows, and partners with cross-functional stakeholders, including copywriters and marketing teams, to deliver integrated campaigns. The Creative Services Team Lead is responsible for ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand standards across all creative outputs.
Additionally, the Team Lead supports the growth and development of the creative team through hands-on coaching and day-to-day guidance, while providing creative input and feedback across visual, video, and supporting content to ensure cohesive, on-brand deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supports the development and execution of design initiatives that align with marketing goals
  • Leads a dynamic team of designers and video producers in developing and producing high-quality creative assets for print, digital ads, websites, tradeshows, advertising, and videos
  • Provides creative direction to teams within scope of assigned projects and brand standards
  • Trains, mentors, and guides the professional development of the creative services team
  • Collaborates with other marketing team members, including Recruitment and B2B marketing teams, copywriters, and digital marketers to develop and execute marketing campaigns
  • Brings new, innovative ideas to elevate the brand on a regular basis
  • Leads the design process for complex projects
  • Maintains review process with key partners and leaders, including Legal, SMEs, Clinical, and HR
  • Contributes to the ongoing evolution and consistency of brand identity and design solutions
  • Provides regular and consistent status and productivity reports to marketing leadership
  • Audits designs on a consistent basis and makes updates as necessary
  • Oversees relationship with external vendors related to design initiatives for assigned projects
  • Oversees freelancers
  • Provides support for National Meeting, Amergis Charitable Foundation (ACF), and other company events
  • Identifies and recommends improvements to design processes
  • Provides constructive creative feedback across design, content, and video deliverables to ensure consistency and quality
  • Stays up-to-date on creative trends and best practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years professional design experience
  • 1–3 years of experience providing direct or indirect team leadership (mentoring, project leadership, or managing designers)
  • Experience collaborating across multiple creative disciplines, including design, copy, and video production
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Fosters a collaborative, positive team environment through strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in the English language is required
  • Accountable for maintaining quality and consistency across creative assets
  • Ability to prioritize and manage team workload across multiple projects
  • Experience providing creative feedback and conducting reviews across design and other creative outputs (e.g., content and video)
  • Ability to balance hands-on work with team leadership responsibilities
  • Proven understanding of core creative principles, including visual design, layout, and storytelling
  • Solid understanding of design, pre-press, and production processes
  • Adaptable to changing needs
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • WordPress and understanding of HTML and other website code is a plus
  • Understanding of content development and video production workflows is a plus
  • Illustration skills are a plus
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and driven to deliver high-quality, impactful design work
