Job description

Purpose

Wild Card is seeking a seasoned IT Systems Administrator to oversee and refine our technical infrastructure in a rapid-response creative production setting. The ideal candidate is a proactive administrator with expertise in network architecture, NAS storage solutions, directory management, and Adobe Creative Cloud pipelines. This individual must be committed to maintaining system stability and adept at providing technical support for production teams facing strict delivery timelines. This is a fully onsite role, Monday through Friday, in Culver City, CA. Occasional weekend work may be required to perform system upgrades and scheduled maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

Helpdesk & Systems Support

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for Windows and macOS environments.
  • Set up and maintain workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests across identity platforms.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.
  • Support cloud services: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and SaaS applications.
  • Monitor system health and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Document support procedures and maintain a current knowledge base.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets utilizing our Zendesk ticketing system.

Systems Administration & Infrastructure

  • Own and maintain Windows and macOS server and endpoint environments across the organization.
  • Administer and maintain directory services including Active Directory, JumpCloud, Entra ID, and similar platforms.
  • Manage user provisioning, group policies, SSO integrations, and access control across all identity systems.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless systems.
  • Manage endpoint deployment, configuration, and lifecycle using MDM platforms.
  • Oversee software licensing, patch management, and system updates across the environment.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, respond to alerts, and drive resolution of recurring issues.
  • Maintain and improve documentation, runbooks, and internal knowledge base.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions as the environment grows.

NAS Storage Administration

  • Administer and maintain NAS storage systems, including Nexis and QuantaStor environments.
  • Monitor storage health, capacity, and performance; respond proactively to alerts and failures.
  • Manage user access, permissions, share configurations, and storage policies.
  • Perform storage provisioning, expansion, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams on evolving storage needs and architecture.

Post-Production & Creative Support

  • Serve as one of the primary technical resources for the creative production team and their workflows.
  • Support and troubleshoot Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Administer and support Cinema 4D and Redshift rendering environments, including render node management.
  • Manage plugin licensing and software deployments across the creative toolchain.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance, compatibility, and pipeline issues in production environments.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain and improve creative infrastructure.

End-User Support

  • Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.
  • Set up and maintain workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Support cloud services including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and business SaaS applications.
  • Manage user accounts and access requests; escalate complex infrastructure issues appropriately.
  • Own the employee onboarding and offboarding process - provisioning and deprovisioning accounts, devices, and access across all systems.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records, tracking assets through their full lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of IT support experience or equivalent education.
  • Proven experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, user account administration, and endpoint management.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Exposure to MDM solutions (Kandji, Jamf, Mosyle, Intune) and identity management platforms (JumpCloud, Active Directory, Entra ID).
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Zendesk or similar IT ticketing systems for tracking, prioritizing, and resolving support requests.
  • Experience supporting Adobe Creative Cloud applications and creative production workflows.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Adobe ExtendScript or UXP scripting for Creative Cloud automation is a strong plus.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or related certifications are a plus.
  • Must be comfortable lifting and carrying 40-60 lbs and performing other physical duties as required.
  • Must be available to respond to after-hours support calls on an occasional basis.

  • Write and maintain Python or Bash scripts to automate repetitive IT and operational tasks.
  • Develop or maintain Adobe ExtendScript or UXP scripts for Creative Cloud applications.
  • Build lightweight integrations connecting internal tools or Adobe apps to internal systems.
  • Maintain version-controlled automation projects in internal Git repositories.
