Creative Strategist

Who we are:

GeistM is a global full-funnel performance marketing company revolutionizing customer acquisition for brands worldwide. We are experts at achieving highly profitable acquisition goals for our customers with our engaging, performance-focused content and our extensive publisher network. We excel in creating, launching, and scaling content-based marketing campaigns across leading third-party networks such as Meta, Google, X, TikTok, Taboola, Pinterest, Reddit, and many more.

Location: New York, New York

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

About the Position:

We’re looking for a Creative Strategist who thrives at the intersection of data, storytelling, and content creation. In this role, you’ll develop performance-driven concepts and bring them to life through original content, creator-led assets, and engaging paid social creative across a variety of brands and verticals.

To succeed in this role, you should understand what makes content convert, be comfortable filming and appearing in content yourself, and know how to translate ad performance insights into stronger concepts, hooks, scripts, briefs, and creative iterations.

This is a hands-on position for someone who can think strategically while also executing creative from identifying a compelling angle and writing the brief to filming, designing, editing, and refining the final asset.

What you’ll do:

Creative Strategy and Performance

  • Collaborate with the Creative, Content, and Growth Marketing teams to develop high-performing creative for social and native ad placements.
  • Analyze ad-level performance, document learnings, and translate insights into new concepts, messaging angles, hooks, formats, and visual approaches.
  • Maintain a backlog of testable concepts and pitch new ideas during weekly Creative Team meetings.
  • Stay informed about emerging social media, advertising, creator, and design trends and apply relevant insights to client campaigns.

Content and Creator Production

  • Write briefs, scripts, hooks, messaging angles, and shot lists for creator-led, UGC, and internally produced content.
  • Create and edit paid media assets, including short-form video, on-camera content, voiceovers, product demonstrations, lifestyle footage, photography, and static graphics.
  • Source and manage creators, communicate campaign requirements, review submissions, and oversee feedback and revisions through final delivery.
  • Ensure all content feels authentic, aligns with client brand identities, and meets platform and performance requirements.
  • Contribute original content to GeistM’s internal UGC and photography library.

Creative Operations and Innovation

  • Develop adaptable creative styles, templates, layouts, and visual elements for paid media campaigns.
  • Manage multiple creative projects from concept through delivery while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate ideation, scripting, briefing, editing, design, and creative iteration.
  • Explore new tools, formats, and workflows that improve creative performance and production efficiency.

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Design, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience developing and producing short-form social or performance marketing content.
  • Experience using advertising performance data or creative insights to inform concepts and iterations.
  • Strong concepting and copywriting skills, including experience developing hooks, scripts, briefs, messaging angles, and shot lists.
  • Hands-on experience filming, designing, editing, and producing creative assets from scratch.
  • Proficiency in tools such as CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and/or Canva.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, social platforms, content formats, and paid media requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project-management skills.
  • Experience working directly with creators or influencers is preferred.
  • Comfort appearing on camera and recording voiceovers is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools to support and streamline creative production.
  • A portfolio demonstrating both creative strategy and execution is required; LinkedIn profiles alone will not be accepted.

Why you should come work with us:

  • Great coworkers and a fun collaborative environment;
  • Required 1 day in office per week;
  • Career growth opportunities;
  • Opportunity to work with clients globally;
  • Many technical and business challenges to solve.

We’d love to see your creative point of view. Please include a portfolio, social media links, or sample videos that best showcase your work and style.
