Role Summary
The Manager, Creative Operations is responsible for overseeing operational workflows, managing resources, and directing production execution to support the Corporate Marketing Creative team. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Marketing PMO, this role partners closely with the Creative team, Project Management Office, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure creative projects are appropriately resourced, efficiently routed, and successfully delivered across design, video, print and digital channels.
This role serves as the nexus between project planning and creative execution. This position will manage the capacity of our creative team, along with production logistics, vendor relationships and asset delivery, while driving continuous improvement. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and a creative eye that helps uphold the quality of the Suffolk brand across all deliverables.
Responsibilities
Creative Traffic & Resource Management
• Own the routing and movement of creative work across design, video, print, and digital projects.
• Manage creative team capacity, workloads, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain visibility into all active creative work and proactively identify resource conflicts, bottlenecks, and scheduling risks.
• Partner with the PMO to align creative resources with project priorities and timelines.
Creative Production & Execution
• Oversee production planning and execution logistics of creative projects across video, photography, print, and digital.
• Develop production schedules, creative workflows and execution plans that align with project timelines established by the PMO.
• Coordinate internal creative resources, vendors, freelancers, and production partners to support project execution.
• Assist with contracts, usage rights, licensing agreements, talent releases, print specifications, and other production-related documentation.
• Identify and mitigate production risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Asset Management & Process Improvement
• Oversee creative asset management, version control, file organization, and archival processes.
• Ensure all final deliverables and source files are properly documented and accessible for future use.
• Partner with PMO to align production efforts with established campaign objectives and timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement of creative workflows, production processes, and operational standards.
Qualifications
• 5-7 year of experience in creative operations, traffic management, project management, agency operations, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience managing creative workflows across multiple disciplines including design, video, photography and digital.
• Strong understanding of creative production processes, resource planning capacity management, and project delivery.
• Experience coordinating and managing external vendors, freelancers, and production partners.
• Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities, manage competing deadlines, and optimize team workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow through.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills with the ability to work effectively across cross functional teams.
• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Workfront, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with creative and design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma or similar platforms is preferred.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
