Job description

About Vidsy
Vidsy is a global creative platform transforming how the world's biggest brands create video advertising across paid social. With teams across NYC, LA, Toronto, and London, we partner with global advertisers like L'Oreal, Amazon and PepsiCo enabling them to produce creator and AI powered video advertising at scale.

The Role
We're looking for a social-first Creative, who lives and breathes social media. As a Creative at Vidsy, you are the visionary behind the scroll. You'll live at the intersection of creativity and production, turning brand goals into high-performing social content. You'll spend your days concepting, directing our global Creator community, and collaborating with our in-house Motion Design team to bring ideas to life.If you spend more time on your TikTok FYP than in Photoshop, and you know exactly why a hook works (or doesn't), this is for you.

What You'll Do
  • Concept & Direct: Develop "social-first" concepts for brands like Pepsi, L'Oreal, Google, and Warner Bros.
  • The Bridge: Act as the creative glue between our Strategists, Client Managers, and Motion Designers.
  • Direct Creators: Brief and direct our external Creator Community to ensure they deliver authentic, high-quality UGC.
  • Trend-Jack: Keep your finger on the pulse of platform shifts (TikTok, Reels, Snap) to ensure our clients are always ahead of the curve.
  • Pitch & Present: Confidently share your creative vision with major enterprise clients.
Must-Haves
  • 18 months (plus) - or equivalent experience - working within the creative industry or within social content production.
  • Social Native: You don't just "use" social; you understand the nuances of TikTok, Meta, and Snap like a pro.
  • Portfolio: A showcase of work that proves you know how to tell engaging social first stories in vertical video.
  • Creative Visionary: You can dream up a concept for a beauty brand one hour and a gaming brand the next.
  • Communication: Comfortable leading client calls and presenting your ideas with conviction.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Briefing Skills: Experience briefing UGC creators, Editors, and/or motion designers.
  • Technical Literacy: You don't need to be an editor, but you know your way around the Adobe Suite and understand the video production workflow.
  • AI Enthusiast: You're already experimenting with AI tools to speed up ideation or production.
Compensation & Perks
Competitive Base Salary: In-line with your experience between $55,000 and $75,000 CAD
Private Healthcare: To keep you feeling your best.
Flexibility First: Work your way with our virtual-first hybrid approach.
Generous Time Off: 25 days vacation (+ Public Holidays) to take the breaks you need to recharge.
Remote Flexibility: Work away from your hub (or in another Vidsy Office) for up to 4 weeks of the year.
Volunteer Day: Get a paid day off annually to support a cause you care about.
Wellbeing Focus: Access our wellness programs and Employee Assistance Program.
Enhanced Parental Leave Polivies: Adaptable to your needs too!
Eco Impact: Your carbon footprint offset through our Ecologi partnership.
Who You'll Report To
You'll report to Remi, our Creative Director, who's been with Vidsy since 2019. Remi helped establish our North American presence, launching first in NYC and now expanding into Toronto. Known for fostering high-performing teams, mentoring talent, and driving creative success, he also brings a fun side to the mix - he's particularly partial to a Pickle Back during company socials!

The Interview Process
30 minutes - Introductory call with a member of our Talent Team.
60 minutes - Video interview with Flick to discuss the role and your experience.
90 minutes -  Final interview with 2-3 Vidsy Team members, including presenting back a previously set task.

Hybrid 'Virtual-First' Work Setup

Vidsy embraces a hybrid 'virtual-first' approach across all our hubs. We require all new team members to be based locally to their regional hub from day one, but offer the flexibility to access office space as needed, or whenever it best supports your productivity and collaboration. The balance between in-office and remote work will vary depending on your team, role, and personal preferences.

At Vidsy, we welcome everyone and do not discriminate based on race, colour, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
