Job Summary
The Creative Specialist position is responsible for promoting the value, recognition and overall brand of KCTCS through the design and production of a myriad of printed and electronic materials for KCTCS, its colleges and all other groups under the KCTCS umbrella. Additionally, this position is responsible for establishing, codifying and maintaining a consistent brand across the system. It is also the caretaker and primary designer for the Pathfinder mascot.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time
Job Duties:
Public Advocacy /Student Recruitment - Promote the value and recognition of KCTCS through the design of myriad printed and electronic material including but not limited to: ads, apparel, banners, billboards, brochures, digital ads (htmlS, social media), fliers, folders, mini viewbooks, pamphlets, posters, signage, vehicle signage, vehicle wraps, viewbooks, etc. Generally, this material is customized for each of the 16 colleges.
Mascot - Design and production of all Pathfinder mascot communication materials including but not limited to: mascot illustrations, custom college or program specific illustrations, posters, fliers, folders, stand-up cut-outs, animations.
Project Management - Development of procedures, processes, schedules and deadlines, so that projects are produced in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner with high quality results. Development and fosterage of relationships with colleagues throughout the system, Ricoh Printing Center as well as printers and various vendors outside KCTCS.
Branding - Develop, design and oversee implementation of brand standards, which provide guidance to colleagues throughout the system in their design and production of high-quality materials that are professional and instantly recognizable as part of the KCTCS system.
Templates - Development of branded templates by which colleagues with little or no experience are able to produce high-quality printed materials that are instantly recognizable as part of KCTCS. Templates have been created for electronic announcements and invitations, fliers, press releases, program brochures, pamphlets, posters, PowerPoint, recruitment materials, stationery, Workforce Solutions materials, etc.
Graphic Support - Provide graphic design support and leadership to all college marketing personnel. Assist colleagues with finding design elements including but not limited to: logos, photos, templates, etc.) Create new graphic elements as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Graphic design or a related field.

Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Additional Skills Requested:
Mastery of design software, knowledge of printing processes, knowledge of digital design, knowledge of animation, experience working with printers.
