This role reports to the General Manager of Southern Rose.

What you'll do:

Creative Project Management & Operations

  • Manage the intake, prioritization, and scheduling of all creative requests and projects.
  • Allocate creative resources effectively across multiple concurrent projects and campaigns.
  • Monitor project status and proactively communicate risks, timeline changes, and resource needs.
  • Implement and continuously improve creative workflows, processes, and project management best practices.
  • Maintain project management systems, creative briefs, and documentation.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between account management team and the creative team - both internal & external.

Creative Developmentย & Production

  • Create and/or coordinate mood boards and creative briefs to guide design execution.
  • Provide creative guidance and feedback throughout the development process.
  • Make art revisions and design adjustments as needed to support project completion.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure creative assets meet established standards and specifications.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all customer-facing and internal communications.

Vendor & Resource Management

  • Manage relationships with freelance designers.
  • Source and onboard external creative resources as needed.
  • Negotiate project scopes, timelines, and budgets with vendors and freelancers.
  • Monitor freelancer performance and ensure high-quality execution.
  • Maintain a network of creative partners to support evolving business needs.

Budget Management & Performance

  • Assist in the development and management of project and departmental budgets.
  • Monitor creative production costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize value.
  • Provide reporting on project status, workload capacity, and budget performance.
  • ย Recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies to support organizational goals.
Who you are:
  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or in a similar leadership role within the music merchandise industry.
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite knowledge (Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator )
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of successful and innovative merchandise designs.
  • In-depth knowledge of design software, industry trends, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for music and a deep understanding of various artist genres.
