Job description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Digital Marketing Specialist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: As part of the clinic marketing team, the Digital Marketing Specialist strengthens the McFarland Clinic brand and reputation through integrated marketing strategies. This role creates multimedia content-including writing, graphics, and video-for internal and external use across social media, video, website, digital signs, print, intranet, and email. Responsible for enhancing the McFarland Clinic brand and reputation through integrated marketing techniques.
  • Collaborate with providers, practice leaders, and the marketing team to develop content strategies and materials that support target audiences and objectives.
  • Research, write, edit, and produce content across a variety of topics, formats, and channels.
  • Create and maintain web pages in the CMS, applying SEO best practices to improve content performance and engagement.
  • Produce video content, including short-form social media videos, patient testimonials, medical education, and staff highlights.
  • Submit news releases and content to media outlets and industry resources.
  • Coordinate brand merchandise and promotional materials for community events, sponsorships, and local outreach.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in digital communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, or a related field

Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Experience
  • At least 2-4 years of progressive experience digital communications. Health care preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and video editing software. Photography experience preferred.
  • Experience with web content management systems and basic HTML.
  • Strong understanding and/or experience with social media and web metrics, digital analytics, including SEO/SEM, and the ability to generate, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Experience with a variety of writing formats and the ability to customize messages for a range of media (print, digital, collateral, website, video).
  • Experience with event planning desired.
