What is a creative marketing associate?

Creative Marketing Associates are professionals who develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to promote a company's products or services. They collaborate with design, content, and digital teams to create engaging campaigns, advertisements, and promotional materials. Their responsibilities often include brainstorming new ideas, analyzing market trends, and ensuring brand consistency across all marketing channels. Creative Marketing Associates play a key role in increasing brand awareness and driving customer engagement.

What skills and qualifications does a creative marketing associate need?

Proficiency with design software like Adobe Creative Suite, social media management tools, and analytics platforms is typically required. Outstanding creativity, collaboration, and adaptability help individuals excel in generating fresh ideas and working within diverse teams. These skills ensure effective campaign execution, brand consistency, and the ability to engage target audiences in a dynamic marketing environment.

Job description

Job Description

Cricut’s Digital Marketing team is looking for a highly organized, strategic, and passionate Associate Influencer Marketing Manager to help drive and grow our influencer marketing programs. We're specifically looking for someone with hands‑on influencer marketing experience. You should understand the full lifecycle of a campaign and be confident in sourcing, vetting, negotiating, reviewing content, and managing paid usage rights.

This role requires more than just general marketing or social media experience. You’ll be working alongside a team that collaborates closely across multiple marketing functions and relies on this role to help execute influencer campaigns with confidence, creativity, and attention to detail. If you love influencer marketing, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and are excited about all things DIY, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Own influencer sourcing and vetting across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Evaluate creators using key criteria such as CPV, engagement rate, audience demographics, content quality, and brand fit.
  • Lead communications with influencers and/or their managers from outreach through content approval and wrap‑up. Ensure clarity, professionalism, and efficiency at every step.
  • Negotiate influencer rates, contracts, usage rights, and exclusivity terms to align with campaign goals and budgets.
  • Partner closely with our paid social agency to facilitate dark posting, ad codes, and usage of influencer content in paid campaigns.
  • Provide clear, strategic, and detailed creative feedback to help influencers bring our messaging to life in a way that feels authentic and effective.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including PR, social, product marketing, and digital. Align influencer efforts across larger brand moments and product launches.
  • Monitor influencer performance metrics and help evaluate content effectiveness.
  • Manage influencer payments and ensure proper documentation for finance and legal.
  • Ensure all influencer content follows FTC guidelines and platform disclosure requirements.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with creators to foster loyalty, repeat collaborations, and long‑term brand advocacy.
  • Stay plugged in to emerging influencer trends, platform shifts, and new talent to keep our programs fresh and innovative.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of direct experience in influencer marketing is required (in‑house or agency).
  • Proven ability to manage influencer campaigns from outreach through performance reporting.
  • Experience vetting influencers using performance data and brand alignment criteria.
  • Strong understanding of paid usage rights, dark posting, ad codes, and exclusivity terms in influencer agreements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate feedback and campaign expectations.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills. Able to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and self‑prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience managing influencer payments and basic budget tracking.
