The Account Manager manages client relationships and oversees the planning, execution, and performance of integrated marketing campaigns. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, works closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, and provides strategic guidance to help clients achieve their marketing goals. The Account Director also identifies opportunities to grow client accounts and supports overall agency success.
Account Management & Communication
  • Serves as the primary day-to-day point of contact for integrated marketing communications accounts
  • Manages day-to-day client communication and ensures alignment across all initiatives
  • Builds and maintains long-term client relationships based on trust and performance
  • Identifies new opportunities for additional work, campaigns, or expanded services
  • Provides project direction to Account Coordinator(s) and/or Intern(s) regarding projects they are managing on their assigned client accounts

Budget Development and Oversight/Invoicing
  • Develops and manages overall marketing budgets across campaigns and initiatives
  • Recommends spend across channels and tactics based on priorities and performance
  • Monitors budget and tactics pacing and adjusts plans to stay within approved limits
  • Reviews campaign activity against budget to ensure efficiency and accountability
  • Develops, edits and processes client invoices and summary reports

Brand & Voice Stewardship
  • Maintains consistency of client voice, tone, and brand standards across all deliverables
  • Reviews messaging and creative output to ensure alignment with brand positioning
  • Provides direction to internal teams on appropriate brand application and communication style

Creative/Content Strategy
  • Provides direction on creative approach, content strategy and campaign development
  • Collaborates with Creative Director, Associate Creative Director, Traffic Manager and design team to guide concepts and execution
  • Reviews creative work and provides actionable feedback prior to client presentation
  • Ensures creative output aligns with strategy and brand standards, and that campaign goals are being met

Media/Channel Strategy
  • Provides direction on media/channel strategy approach, content strategy and campaign development
  • Collaborates with Media Strategist, Media Coordinator and Traffic Manager to guide media team planning, strategy and execution
  • Recommends and evaluates new marketing channels and tactics based on client goals
  • Identifies opportunities to expand campaigns across digital, social, media, PR, and other channels
  • Assesses performance and adjusts strategies to improve results and reach
  • Works with Media, Traffic and Creative teams to set and monitor campaign ad deadlines to ensure campaign goals are being met

Opportunity Development
  • Proactively identifies new marketing opportunities, campaigns, and initiatives for clients
  • Recommends strategies to increase visibility, engagement, and overall performance
  • Writes and supports proposal development, scope expansion, and upsell opportunities

Social Media Oversight
  • Provides direction to Social Media Manager on social media strategy and execution for assigned clients
  • Reviews content plans, messaging, and posting schedules
  • Ensures social content aligns with brand voice, campaign goals, and overall strategy
  • Monitors activity and provides direction for adjustments as needed to ensure campaign goals are being met

Cross-Team Coordination
  • Coordinates with Creative, Media, and Account teams to ensure campaigns are executed effectively and goals are being met
  • Ensures all deliverables are aligned with goals, strategy, budget, and timelines
  • Provides clear direction and priorities to internal teams supporting client work

Agency Promotion
  • Supports promotion of the agency's brand, capabilities, and culture
  • Assists with agency business development projects
