Job description

Job Title: Account Manager โ€“ Luxury Live Event Production
Location: Covington, Louisiana
Reports To: Director of Sales

About Us

We are a luxury event production company specializing in custom draping, scenic fabrication, immersive environments, and highโ€‘end audiovisual experiences. We support planners, venues, designers, and corporate brands that require flawless execution, creative precision, and premium client service.

Because our work is rooted in live event production, our Account Managers must understand the realities of show flow, build logistics, technical execution, and onโ€‘site operationsโ€”not just general client service.

We are building a worldโ€‘class, curated sales organization and are looking for an Account Manager who thrives at the intersection of design, logistics, and client service.

Position Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of eventโ€‘production clients while overseeing projects from concept through execution. This role requires strong production knowledge, design comprehension, and the ability to translate client goals into technically sound solutions.

Applicants without experience in live events, technical production, or eventโ€‘industry project management will not be considered.

What You Will Do

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, managing dayโ€‘toโ€‘day communication and expectations.
  • Build strong, longโ€‘term relationships by understanding client goals, brand standards, and event needs.
  • Develop and present preliminary Vectorworksโ€‘based drawings and renderings that clearly communicate the creative vision, technical approach, and production value of each event.
  • Conduct regular checkโ€‘ins, provide project updates, and address concerns promptly.

Project & Event Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal departments (production, creative, logistics, technical teams) to translate client needs into actionable event plans.
  • Assist in the development of project timelines, deliverables, runโ€‘ofโ€‘show documents, and production schedules.
  • Oversee event progress to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and live events as needed.

Proposal & Budget Management

  • Prepare proposals.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling additional services that align with client goals.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with producers, technicians, designers, and operations teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.
  • Facilitate clear communication across teams to prevent scope creep and support efficient workflows.

Event Execution

  • Oversee onโ€‘site event execution and serve as the client representative during loadโ€‘in, rehearsals, and event day.
  • Troubleshoot issues with professionalism and calm under pressure.

Appearance and Professional Presentation

Because this is a clientโ€‘facing role within the live events industry, the Account Manager is expected to maintain a polished, professional appearance that reflects the companyโ€™s standards and aligns with client settings.

Requirements include:

  • Professional attire during client meetings, presentations, and onโ€‘site events (e.g., business casual or eventโ€‘appropriate apparel as instructed).
  • Clean, neat, and wellโ€‘groomed presentation consistent with a professional environment.
  • Eventโ€‘specific attire when required.

This section is focused on professionalism and suitability for various work environments; it does not govern personal characteristics unrelated to job performance.

Required Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must have prior experience in at least one of the following:

  • Live event production
  • Theatrical production
  • Event design + fabrication
  • AV / lighting / staging / rigging
  • Production project management
Who You Are
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in live event production account management, client services, or project management (preferably in event production, entertainment, or a related industry) with a successful track record of delivering medium to largeโ€‘scale, complex events.
  • Experience with VectorWorks/AutoCAD/Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong understanding of event production processes (AV, staging, logistics, preโ€‘production, creative services).
  • Experience with power distribution for live events
  • Experience with rigging for live events
  • Experience with audio system, lighting system, and/or video system installation and operation for live events.
  • Experience with heavy equipment operation.
  • Strong industry knowledge with an inโ€‘depth understanding of event production processes, equipment, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams at all levels.
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating crossโ€‘functional teams, fostering a positive and resultsโ€‘oriented work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve issues quickly and reliably under intense pressure.
  • Proficient in developing and managing project budgets and ensuring financial success while delivering highโ€‘quality productions.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings/nights, and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
What Success Looks Like
  • Revenue growth within your portfolio
  • Strong conversion rates and healthy margins
  • Seamless collaboration with production and operations teams
  • Repeat business and longโ€‘term client partnerships
  • Events executed flawlessly and aligned with brand standards
