Essential Functions:The Manager of Child Life and Creative Therapies is responsible for the operational, clinical and strategic oversight of child life and creative therapies within pediatric healthcare. Works with child life and creative therapy team to identify, develop/plan and implement multidisciplinary, psychological support services to pediatric medical, surgical and psychiatric patients and their families during hospitalization and/or out-patient visits. The manager collaborates across interdisciplinary teams to integrate psychological care into the patient experience, support staff development, and drives program growth aligned with organizations priorities.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years working with children and families in pediatric healthcare setting.


EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Child/Human Development, Child & Family Studies, Education, Psychology or other related field
  • Masters (preferred)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Certified child life specialist (CCLS - per the Certifying Commission ACLP guidelines and requirements)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Computer skills required, must be proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good community relations skills for both verbal and written communication.
  • Good organization and productivity skills are essential.
