Engineering Intern

Our internship program is the perfect steppingstone to a meaningful career at Williams, offering opportunities to expand your network, explore the energy industry, and gain hands-on experience that helps launch your career. You'll contribute to impactful work, develop valuable skills, and help shape an industry that affects millions of lives. Each summer, a select group of highly motivated college students joins our 10-to-12-week internship program. Through meaningful projects, mentorship from leaders, cross-functional collaboration, and professional development opportunities, you'll build your skills while making an immediate impact. Along the way, you'll be encouraged to think creatively, act courageously, work collaboratively, and strive for excellence. Guided by our values, you'll be challenged, supported, and empowered to grow while discovering how you can make a lasting impact at Williams.

Our engineering internships will be in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Houston, Texas, Salt Lake City, Utah or at one of our field locations.

A $2,500 housing stipend will be provided; additional relocation will also be given for those moving more than 50 miles from their home and school address.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, energy, mechanical or petroleum engineering, with a graduation date of December 2027 or beyond (financial engineering, computer science and AI engineering - please apply to the Business/IT application)
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship, OPT or CPT
  • Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to relocate for the summer to our engineering internship locations

What You'll Do:

  • Develops understanding of Williams core business and operating areas
  • Gathers and analyzes real-time data to identify efficiencies and ensures proper asset maintenance
  • Builds credibility with customers by contributing to major projects and capital expansions
  • Collaborates with various teams across operating areas and fields to achieve enterprise goals
  • Follows and supports Williams Values
  • Work schedule is generally Monday-Friday 40 hours/week; hybrid schedule may be available
  • Other duties as assigned

Our full-time F&A roles don't require a CPA. However, we provide an education reimbursement benefit to support our employees in developing themselves professionally.

  • Enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree within Finance or Accounting with a graduation date of December 2027 or beyond
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship, OPT or CPT
  • Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to relocate for the summer to our F&A internship locations
