Description

The Marketing Intern provides creative and administrative support to the Marketing Department while gaining hands-on experience in healthcare marketing, communications, business development, social media management, and event coordination. This internship offers practical experience in promoting Premier Bone & Joint Centers' services, supporting community outreach initiatives, and strengthening relationships with the communities we serve. Under guidance of the Marketing manager, the Marketing Intern will assist with digital communications, promotional materials, event planning, market research, and business development projects while maintaining a professional image that reflects Premier Bone & Joint Centers' mission and values. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Marketing Support

  • Assist with daily marketing and administrative tasks. 
  • Help coordinate marketing projects from planning through completion. 
  • Prepare marketing materials, presentations, and promotional items. 
  • Maintain organized marketing files and project documentation. 
  • Support branding initiatives and ensure consistency across marketing materials. 
  • Business Development & Provider Relations 
  • Assist with maintaining referral source and provider relationship databases. 
  • Research physicians, clinics, employers, athletic organizations, and community partners. 
  • Help organize provider outreach efforts and marketing visits. 
  • Assist with sponsorship tracking and community partnership opportunities 

Market Research

  • Conduct market research on competitors and healthcare trends. 
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance and customer engagement. 
  • Compile research findings into reports and presentations. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing strategies and patient outreach. 
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing 
  • Assist in creating videos and editing content for social media platforms. 
  • Schedule and monitor social media posts. 
  • Capture photos and videos at company events when appropriate. 
  • Monitor online social media engagement and recommend content ideas based on trends. 

Event Coordination

  • Assist with planning and coordinating community events, recruiting events, health fairs, sponsorships, and internal employee events. 
  • Prepare event materials, promotional displays, signage, and giveaways. 
  • Assist with event setup, registration, and breakdown. 
  • Coordinate volunteers and communicate event logistics. 
  • Represent Premier Bone & Joint Centers professionally at community events. 

Graphic Design & Communications

  • Assist in designing flyers, brochures, newsletters, and promotional materials as needed. 
  • Help create internal communications for employees. 
  • Support external marketing campaigns promoting services, physicians, and locations. 
  • Ensure all materials align with the Premier Bone & Joint Centers brand standards. 

Additional Duties 

  • Assist with special marketing projects as assigned. 
  • Support cross-functional initiatives with Human Resources, Operations, and Clinical Departments. 
  • Perform other duties necessary to support efficient Marketing Department operations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a program in:

  • Preferred: Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
