What is a Creative Healthcare professional?

A Creative Healthcare professional is someone who uses creative arts, such as music, art, dance, or drama, to support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of patients. These professionals work in healthcare settings like hospitals, clinics, or community centers, and collaborate with medical teams to enhance patient care through creative interventions. Their goal is to help patients cope with illness, express themselves, and improve their quality of life. Creative Healthcare professionals might include art therapists, music therapists, or specialists who design creative programs tailored to patient needs.

What types of projects might I work on as part of a Creative Healthcare team, and how do these contribute to patient engagement or healthcare branding?

As part of a Creative Healthcare team, you'll typically collaborate on projects such as developing patient education materials, designing digital health campaigns, creating branding assets for healthcare providers, or producing informative videos and infographics. These projects play a crucial role in making complex medical information accessible and engaging for patients, as well as enhancing the public image of healthcare organizations. You'll often work closely with medical professionals, marketers, and compliance teams to ensure accuracy, creativity, and adherence to regulatory standards. This collaborative environment fosters skill growth and offers opportunities to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and healthcare communication.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Creative Healthcare professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Creative Healthcare Professional, you need a strong background in healthcare or medical sciences combined with expertise in creative fields such as design, communications, or digital media. Familiarity with health communication tools, content creation platforms, and, in some cases, certifications in health education or graphic design are commonly required. Outstanding interpersonal, problem-solving, and storytelling abilities help individuals connect with diverse audiences and drive health initiatives. These skills are crucial for effectively conveying health information, engaging communities, and supporting positive health outcomes.

What are some unique creative healthcare jobs?

Unique creative healthcare jobs include art therapists who use visual arts to improve patient well-being and music therapists who employ music to aid recovery. These roles often require specialized training and certification, and they focus on integrating artistic skills into patient care to promote emotional and psychological healing.

Job description

This position is in-person, we encourage you to read all the way through to the bottom before applying :)

What We Do

Connected is a specialized staffing and recruiting company with expertise in both healthcare and educational services. We connect schools, districts, and healthcare organizations across the country with the skilled professionals they need most โ€” whether on a travel, contract, or permanent basis. Since our founding in 2021, weโ€™ve proudly partnered with hundreds of organizations, ranging from Fortune 500 hospital systems to local school districts, to solve critical staffing challenges.

Our mission is simple: Connect outstanding healthcare professionals with organizations where they can thrive while impacting the communities they serve. We play a key role in ensuring facilities across the country have the dedicated staff they need to provide exceptional patient care.

Our team is growing rapidly, and that growth creates an exciting opportunity for driven, creative, and relationship-focused individuals to join us โ€” and make a real impact on people, patients, and communities across the country.

How We Win

  1. Team Success โ€” We prioritize job satisfaction, sustainable income, flexibility, and career growth for our team.
  2. Client Success โ€” We help clients hire team members who make a meaningful impact and want to grow with them long-term.
  3. Candidate Success โ€” We facilitate the perfect match between candidates and clients, leading to lasting career satisfaction.
  4. Technology, Innovation & Creativity โ€” We are an AI-enabled, tech-forward team that thinks differently about how work gets done. We value creative ideas as much as we value the tools that bring them to life. Relationships and impact will always drive us โ€” but the edge we build through innovation and creativity is what sets us apart.

The Team

We are a young, close-knit team of 30+ employees and growing fast. We love helping people, traveling, financial growth, outdoor adventures, and live music โ€” hence, Austin, TX. We work hard, we celebrate wins together, and we genuinely enjoy the people we work with. While we take our work seriously, we do not take ourselves too seriously.

The Role

As a Healthcare Recruiter, you will source and place top-tier travel nurses and allied health professionals with facilities across the nation. This is a relationship-driven, sales-focused role โ€” you will own your candidate pipeline, build genuine long-term relationships, and close placements that make a real difference in patient care.

This is not a passive role. The people who succeed here are competitive, self-motivated, creative and energized by seeing their effort translate directly into impact.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $52,000
  • Commission: Uncapped โ€” with six figures potential. (Year 1 OTE $75,000+)

Training

We provide a comprehensive training program that walks you through everything you need to know, step by step. You will be trained not only on recruiting fundamentals, but on the technology stack that powers our team โ€” including the tools and platforms we use every day. You will have everything you need to ramp fast and perform at a high level.

Qualifications โ€” The Right Fit

Staffing is a sales-driven, relationship-centered industry. Our most successful recruiters are personable, self-motivated, and eager to take ownership of their results. We are also a tech-first team, so comfort with digital tools and a curiosity about how AI can make you better at your job is a genuine advantage here.

While there are no strict requirements, we are looking for candidates who bring one or more of the following:

  • New Graduates โ€” Highly motivated, involved in organizations, and ready to hit the ground running.
  • Early-Career Professionals โ€” Experience in healthcare, staffing, or a related field is a plus. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Sales-Oriented Individuals โ€” Comfortable building relationships, handling objections, and closing deals.
  • Tech-Forward Thinkers โ€” You embrace AI tools, learn new platforms quickly, and look for ways technology can give you an edge. Bonus points if you get excited about seeing your ideas become real, tangible results.
  • Mission-Driven Professionals โ€” You believe the work matters beyond the placement. Every role you fill has a direct impact on patient care, facility performance, and communities across the country.

Why Join Us?

At Connected, staffing is more than filling positions โ€” it is about creating connections that change lives. We are growing fast, investing in our people, and building one of the most tech-forward recruiting operations in the industry.

You will not be handed a script and a phone list. You will be given real tools, real training, and real opportunity to build a book and a career that reflects your effort. The income potential is significant, the team is genuinely collaborative, and the work matters.

If you are ready to compete, build, and enjoy making an impact โ€” apply today!
