The roles often overlap but serve different primary functions in web development projects.

What is a Creative Frontend Developer?

A Creative Frontend Developer is a web developer who specializes in designing and building visually engaging and interactive user interfaces for websites and applications. They combine technical skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a strong sense of design and creativity to deliver memorable digital experiences. In addition to ensuring that websites are functional and responsive, creative frontend developers often incorporate animations, modern layouts, and unique visual elements to enhance user engagement. Their role often involves close collaboration with designers, UX specialists, and backend developers to bring concepts to life.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Creative Frontend Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Creative Frontend Developer, you need a strong grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with design tools like Adobe XD or Figma, version control systems such as Git, and responsive web development techniques is essential. Strong collaboration skills, a keen eye for design, and creative problem-solving set standout candidates apart. These skills ensure engaging, user-friendly interfaces that align with both technical requirements and creative vision, driving overall project success.

How does a Creative Frontend Developer typically collaborate with designers and backend developers during a project?

Creative Frontend Developers play a central role in bridging the gap between visual design and functional implementation. They frequently work alongside UX/UI designers to translate mockups and prototypes into interactive, responsive web experiences. Close communication with backend developers is also essential to ensure seamless integration of APIs and data, often requiring regular stand-ups, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving. This collaborative environment fosters both creativity and technical precision, making teamwork and adaptability crucial skills for success.

Job description

OneMagnify is an AI native, platform-enabled B2B digital agency operating at the intersection of data, technology, and creativity. We help complex organizations drive measurable business outcomes by building smarter customer experiences and delivering highly integrated solutions across digital, media, and technology. By combining deep industry expertise with advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, we enable our clients to make better decisions, move faster, and compete more effectively in dynamic markets.

As a Senior Engineering Manager at OneMagnify, you'll guide the technology decisions and delivery that power modern customer experiences for major brands. You'll lead fullstack engineering teams across onshore and offshore locations, ensuring our digital platforms, websites, and data solutions land with quality and purpose. In this role, you sit at the center of client goals, internal partners, and technical execution-shaping solutions that connect strategy, creative, and technology. Your leadership directly influences how we deliver integrated, scalable work that clients rely on to grow.

The Impact You'll Have

You'll steer the technical direction for complex digital builds-think enterprise websites, data-driven platforms, and CRM-powered customer experiences. Your decisions will translate client requirements into solutions that are reliable, scalable, and aligned with architectural best practices. When clients need clarity on how technology can advance their goals, you'll be a trusted voice who guides them toward the right approach.

You'll also shape how engineering integrates with strategy, creative, analytics, and delivery across OneMagnify. By coordinating priorities and aligning development timelines, you'll help cross-functional teams deliver cohesive, measurable outcomes rather than siloed outputs. From early solution scoping to launch, you'll make sure engineering is a catalyst for great work-not an afterthought.

What You'll Do

Lead Technical Direction for Client Solutions

  • Translate client business needs into clear technical approaches and architectural decisions.

  • Set engineering standards across the full development stack, ensuring solutions align with security, scalability, and performance expectations.

  • Partner with Solutions Architects to evaluate options and shape system design for digital, data, and web initiatives.

Guide Engineering Delivery Across Teams

  • Manage and mentor both onshore and offshore development teams working across .NET/Java ecosystems, frontend frameworks (React/Angular), cloud environments (GCP/Azure/AWS), and enterprise databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL).

  • Prioritize technical work and ensure the right resources are aligned to the right problems at the right time.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, or contribute code when needed to keep delivery moving and elevate engineering quality.

Connect Engineering With Cross-Functional Partners

  • Collaborate closely with project management to define requirements, delivery plans, and realistic timelines.

  • Work with creative teams to bring design concepts to life in digital experiences that look great and perform well.

  • Coordinate with analytics, strategy, and data teams to ensure technology decisions support broader program outcomes.

Own Delivery Planning and Technical Governance

  • Build delivery schedules with the IT Application Director and maintain alignment with PMO processes and milestones.

  • Ensure projects adhere to bestpractice architecture, security standards, and quality benchmarks.

  • Participate in technical conversations during sales cycles, helping clients understand the "how" behind recommended solutions.

Develop and Guide Technical Execution

  • Contribute code or technical functionality for highimpact components or critical project needs.

  • Influence staffing decisions and cost considerations for technical deliverables in partnership with the IT Application Director.

  • Foster continuous improvement across engineering practices, toolsets, and delivery methods.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years in application development with handson experience across full-stack engineering.

  • Strong command of .NET and/or Java ecosystems, modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular), cloud platforms (GCP/Azure/AWS), and enterprise databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL).

  • Proven leadership experience guiding distributed engineering teams.

  • Ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements and clear plans.

  • Excellent communication skills-able to lead discussions with clients, internal partners, and technical teams.

  • Prior experience in integrated marketing, digital agency, marketing services, or consulting environments is helpful.

  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to navigate ambiguous technical challenges.

Future-Ready Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools or automated delivery workflows.

  • Familiarity with CRM ecosystems, martech platforms, or data-driven customer experience solutions.

  • Exposure to platform-based delivery models or reusable component architectures.

  • Understanding of cloud-native application patterns such as containerization or serverless environments.

  • Background in delivering work across multidisciplinary teams that combine creative, data, and engineering.
