Test Engineer
Client: US Army
POP: 12+ months
Location: Huntsville, AL

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Active Top Secret Clearance/with SCI eligibility
  • At least ten (10+) years of test engineering experience
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, and similar tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with testing tools
  • Robust decision-making skills
  • Bachelor Degree in related field or in lieu of degree 4 additional years of experience

TASKS
  • Create software tests and automate test cases, perform application testing, validate bugs, and isolate issues
  • Write and initiate tests and then analyze and report the test results in the ticketing system
  • Perform configuration management, change management, and release management.
  • Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
  • Write, implement, and report status for system test cases for testing and analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports.
  • Provide testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications and direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design, and test tools selection.
  • Review test plans and test reports for technical competence, effectiveness, and compliance with standards.
  • Observe and evaluate the execution of customer acceptance test activities, perform integration activities involving developed application software, and identify and document problems and issues providing specific guidance on root-cause and remediation.
  • Analyze the requirements for each test event and shall assist in the scheduling of the System(s) non-operational environments test assets.
