Job description

About the Role
Daybreaker's visual identity is central to everything we do. It draws people in at 5 AM, attracts world-class partners, and turns first-timers into lifelong community members. As our Junior Creative Director and Designer, you will own and evolve the visual language of Daybreaker across social, brand collateral, and merchandise - bringing our world to life with originality, consistency, and craft.
This role is designed for a high-taste, high-output creative who is early in their leadership journey and ready to step up. You'll work directly with Founder Radha Agrawal, a deeply intuitive and visionary creative leader, and collaborate with a joyful, fast-moving, in-person team shaping one of the most dynamic community movements in the world.
You will be trusted to make decisions, move quickly, and execute at a high level without constant oversight. This is not a role for someone who waits for approval - it's for someone who can carry the creative bar, run with ideas, and deliver work that is unmistakably Daybreaker.
In-person presence in New York City is a firm requirement. You will be at events, in creative reviews, and embedded in the daily energy of the brand.
Requirements
What You'll Do
Social Media and Content
  • Own the visual direction of Daybreaker across Instagram, TikTok, and beyond
  • Design and produce scroll-stopping graphics, motion assets, and templates
  • Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and the community to shape the brand's digital presence
  • Maintain a cohesive aesthetic while continuously pushing the creative forward

Brand and Marketing Collateral
  • Design marketing materials for events, partnerships, and campaigns
  • Create decks, one-pagers, and sponsor materials that reflect the full power of the brand
  • Help evolve and uphold brand guidelines across all touchpoints
  • Partner with the partnerships team on co-branded creative that elevates both sides

Merchandise and Product Design
  • Concept and design merchandise people genuinely want to wear
  • Own the design process from concept through production-ready files
  • Work with vendors and manufacturers to bring products to life
  • Think beyond graphics - build products that extend the Daybreaker identity and community

Who You Are
  • A highly motivated designer with a strong point of view and a portfolio that grabs attention instantly
  • Early in your career but ready for real ownership and creative responsibility
  • Fast, responsive, and able to turn around high-quality work quickly without sacrificing taste
  • Able to take a project from brief to final execution independently
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and comfortable in Figma
  • Deeply aligned with the Daybreaker aesthetic: euphoric, community-driven, maximalist with intention, rooted in wellness and wonder
  • A strong collaborator who thrives in an in-person, high-energy environment
  • Comfortable receiving direction from a visionary founder while also contributing ideas and pushing the work forward
  • Based in New York City and excited to be on-site, including early morning events

Bonus
  • Motion graphics, video editing, or typography-forward design experience

What We're Not Looking For
Someone who needs every decision approved before moving forward. This role requires creative confidence, speed, and ownership.
Benefits
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Direct creative mentorship from Founder Radha Agrawal
  • The opportunity to shape the visual identity of a globally recognized movement
  • Access to all Daybreaker events
  • A joyful, creative, purpose-driven team environment
  • Real ownership and autonomy from day one
