YOUR MISSION
We are currently looking for an Art Director to work for Creative Services, PUMA's Internal Creative Agency, out of our Boston Office. We are looking for someone who is focused on visual storytelling with a strong aesthetic sense for art direction, video, and digital content. The candidate should be culturally connected and passionate, with a genuine knowledge and passion for arts, culture, streetwear and fashion. We're seeking someone who is innovative, collaborative, and ambitious - someone who genuinely wants to design cool stuff for our brand.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director, Planners, Content Creators, and Business Units in the conception of both high- and low-production campaigns
  • Work across all marketing channels to execute ideas that deliver on full funnel creative directions developed by Creative Services including assets for PR, Social, Paid Media, Ecomm, In-Store, etc.
  • Be a leading voice in both Creative Services and cross-departmental brainstorming sessions
  • Work with the Creative Services senior management to review and align with briefs for marketing campaigns and other communications initiatives
  • Lead creative productions by identifying and briefing external partners including photographers, illustrators, animators, production companies, independent content creators
  • Work with Creative Services leadership and producers to plan and execute photoshoots, and other types of productions, including liaising with external creative partners
  • Guide external partners in the development of creative concepts and productions
  • Oversee the development of clear, in-depth creative guidelines to aid in regional execution of global concepts
  • Provide feedback to production designers on ecommerce designs and other final assets
  • Work with Creative Services leadership to guide and oversee the post-production asset selection and retouching process
  • Act as a leader within Creative Services, while leading and developing junior members of the Creative Services team

YOUR TALENT
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and/or relevant field of study
  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience is required
  • Digitally focused, with versatile creative suite skills including a high proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, and Acrobat on Mac
  • A demonstrated ability to create proof of concepts for still photography and moving imagery such as gifs and video content
  • Top notch design skills and a working knowledge of digital design
  • Exceptional ability to see projects through all phases of implementation including: concept ideation, design development, and pre- and post- production
  • Thorough understanding of creative process, color theory and typography as well as interactive, digital design and video storytelling
  • Exceptional presentation skills and proven ability to effectively work with senior management to brainstorm, design and strategize the fulfillment of marketing executions
  • Extensive experience directing and overseeing both studio and location photo shoots under aggressive, time-sensitive conditions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to function autonomously and in a cooperative, diverse group
  • Leadership capabilities, including ability to manage, motivate and mentor others within work group
  • Experience in the footwear, athletic and/or apparel industry is a plus

The base pay for this position is $43 per hour + Product Discount.
