Job Title: Multimedia Curriculum Designer (Also known as: Learning Experience Designer, eLearning Developer, Curriculum Developer, and Learning and Development Specialist)

Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required (interim OK)

Travel Requirement: up to 25%

Citizenship: US Citizenship required

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Multimedia Curriculum Designer to join our innovative team creating modern, engaging, and accessible digital and in-person learning experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for executing training development using ADDIE/SAM methodologies to maximize the learner experience and reflect best practices in instructional design and the latest educational technologies. This includes delivering a broad mix of solutions–such as face-to-face instruction, virtual instructor-led training scenario-based exercises, and self-paced learning–that incorporate expert execution of voiceovers, videography, animation-driven methods while adhering to our design standards. With a team of experienced instructional designers, you will support making their visions come to life while adhering to design standards, instructional strategies, and documented processes and procedures.

Leveraging expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and multimedia production, you will create high-quality content for audiences across industries, including Special Operations Forces Tactical Communications Systems, SaaS, and enterprise solutions. This is a collaborative and highly creative role, partnering with subject matter experts, instructional designers, engineering, and product teams to deliver impactful learning outcomes contributing to Warfighter readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to implement instructional strategies supporting diverse adult learners by translating complex technical information into accessible learning content
  • Design and develop interactive training and multimedia assets (videos, infographics, illustrations, animations, motion graphics, audio) using tools like Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Develop and produce customer-facing enablement assets, user guides, and performance support materials, ensuring design standards are met
  • Apply accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG) to learning content in support of institutional, regulatory, or client requirements
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects using agile or iterative project management methodologies
  • Communicate clearly and meet delivery commitments in fast-paced environments

  • Recommend and integrate emerging technology (AI-based tools, gamification, simulations, AR/VR) to enhance learner engagement and more efficient training development
  • Are familiar with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, SharePoint, MS Office)
  • Perform quality assurance reviews, content updates, and continuous improvement based on learner and team feedback
  • Test and troubleshoot eLearning content for SCORM/xAPI compliance and LMS compatibility (Cornerstone)
  • Experience developing rapid content using tools like Synthesia
  • Have used AI to develop content rapidly while maintaining instructional integrity

  • Outstanding ability to synthesize information and collaborate with team to understand design approaches and training requirements to ensure designs match expectations
  • Deep understanding of adult learning theory (andragogy, experiential learning, microlearning, blended learning)
  • Proficient in the ADDIE and SAM models
  • Strong ability to map instructional strategies to outcome-driven training content and assessments.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Articulate 360 suite (Storyline, Rise, Presenter), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects), and BlenderExpert-level skills in PowerPoint and the use of master slides conforming to design standards
  • Expert-level skills in Word and the use of styles conforming to design standards
  • Excellent skills in video and audio production for developing animations and motion graphics
  • Experience in graphic design, data visualization, branding, and creating visually compelling learning experiences
  • Strong knowledge of SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS integration
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills with a proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines and evolving requirements while keeping file management tidy and accessible
  • Effective communicator, collaborator, and iterative problem-solver, able to synthesize feedback and drive consensus with cross-functional teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Multimedia Production, Graphic Design or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design, multimedia curriculum development, or digital content production for adult learners
  • Expert in courseware authoring tools specifically Articulate 360
  • Subject matter expert in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Subject matter expert in Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfortable with written communication and documentation
  • Self-starter with the ability to dive in with minimal direction
  • Flexible, with experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and willingness to explore AI to identify productivity and efficiency gains
  • Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance
