The Manager of Membership and Development Communications is a full-time, exempt position reporting to Highmark Mann’s Senior Vice President, Chief Advancement Officer (SVP & CAO). As a key member of the Development Team, this role partners with internal and external stakeholders to support donors, members, and prospects in alignment with Development goals and with Highmark Mann’s mission. This position offers an exciting opportunity to represent Highmark Mann creatively through the development of collateral materials and the cultivation of positive donor relationships through phone, email, in-person events on campus, and remote communication.

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of a growing membership program of 600+ members and prospective donors, including:
    • Organizes and fulfills seasonal benefits that Highmark Mann’s members and individual giving donors receive, which include membership cards, parking passes, and all other seasonal benefits.
    • Provides timely responses to donor requests for information received by mail, phone, and email.
    • Supports the development team in the cultivation of donors throughout the summer months in the Donor Terrace and fundraising events, including nights and weekends.
    • Pulls current membership lists and provides regular maintenance and updates to donor profiles through an internal database.
    • Coordinates and works in tandem with the Membership Fulfillment Coordinator to ensure members and individual giving donors receive benefits, parking passes, and all seasonal benefits.
    • Ensures that questions from donors are answered in a timely and diplomatic fashion and that membership presales are in working order as announced throughout the season.
    • Troubleshoots ticketing and ticketing platform issues and individual issues with the concierge ticketing service.
Drive the creative development of member communications and cultivation:
  • Works in collaboration with the Highmark Mann Marketing team to create compelling fundraising collateral and benefits packets.
    • In collaboration with fellow team members, writes compelling narratives for year-end mailings and other communications to donors.
    • In collaboration with the campus team, creates and sends pre-show “Know Before You Go: emails throughout the season to all donor/member ticket holders.
    • Maintain Development updates on Highmarkmann.org
    • Creates Customer Service issue records for all donor-related compliments, complaints, or out-of-the-ordinary situations or comments.
    • Coordinates with the Senior Vice President, CAO, on the creation of Highmark Mann’s annual Development newsletter
    • The functions of the role may change in accordance with the needs of the business.
