Who we're looking for

Toyota Financial Services Marketing & Brand Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Marketing Creative Design Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead our in-house creative team in the development and execution of strategic design and marketing materials that drive sales volume and customer/dealer loyalty.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Design, Copywriting & Content, the person in this role will support the Marketing & Brand Department's objective to ensure creative output supports business growth, customer engagement, and brand consistency across all major marketing channels and executive communications.

What you'll be doing

As our Marketing Creative Design Manager, you will lead a high-volume portfolio of concurrent projects, serving as the creative heartbeat of our brand identity. Success in this role means you are a strategic partner who fosters innovation, drives critical design decisions, and ensures our creative deliverables are executed with excellence, on time, and within budget.

  • Lead and inspire a talented team of 6 Creative Designers by coaching, developing, and mentoring them in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

  • Drive creative strategy across B2C and B2B work, ensuring digital, video, UI/UX, and print assets align with brand guidelines and business goals.

  • Manage a complex, fast-paced portfolio of projects by prioritizing work, chairing creative reviews, and maintaining efficient workflow in Workfront.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners and leadership to transform business needs into compelling design solutions, including executive presentation decks and national sales incentive programs.

  • Oversee strategic vendor relationships and annual budgets, including partnerships with stock image and external print providers, to ensure the right tools and resources are in place.

  • Champion brand excellence as a member of the Marketing & Brand Leadership team by contributing to annual marketing plans and ensuring all deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.

What you bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience successfully leading creative teams and managing high-volume design projects.

  • Ability to manage budgets, develop strategy, and oversee vendor partner relationships.

  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and providing actionable creative feedback and design direction.

  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail, including proficiency in project management tools like Workfront or similar tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams to support effective communication and presentations.

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills, along with an analytical mindset that helps you solve problems and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% as business needs require

  • An MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field that strengthens expertise in business strategy and creative management.

  • Experience in captive finance or automotive industry.

  • Experience working at or consulting with an ad agency, bringing a valuable client-side creative perspective.

  • Experience in video production and/or creative direction to help elevate multi-channel marketing efforts.
