DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Design Assistant to support our floral design team. At Dr. Delphinium, our work is guided by Connection, Celebration, Ownership, Drive, Integrity, and Creativity — values that shape how we support one another and bring meaningful moments to life through flowers. In this role, you’ll help prepare materials, maintain an efficient and organized workspace, and ensure designers have everything they need to create beautiful, high-quality arrangements.

The Design Assistant plays a key role in keeping workflow moving smoothly throughout the day. You’ll assist with product prep and setup, coordinate materials, and help maintain consistency and quality across designs. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in supporting a team, enjoys hands-on work, and brings focus and care to the details that make great design possible. If you love being around flowers and thrive in a creative, fast-moving environment, this is an opportunity to contribute behind the scenes in a meaningful way.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist designers by gathering, prepping, and organizing floral products and supplies
  • Build positive working relationships with designers and other team members
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance and workspace
  • Communicate issues, questions, or concerns to the Design Manager
  • Identify and understand floral varieties, design components, and hard goods
  • Prepare materials for orders, including conditioning flowers and assembling basic mechanics
  • Organize and distribute design tickets to support workflow
  • Enter product or supply requests as directed
  • Help execute department projects and meet production deadlines
  • Transport finished designs or materials to designated areas for delivery or staging
  • Monitor supply levels and report low inventory to the purchasing team
  • Keep design areas swept, stocked, and orderly throughout the day
  • Communicate with sales or support teams when order details require clarification
