Job description

Position Purpose

Upholds the Credit Union’s mission of “We do the right thing one member, one employee, and one experience at a time to strengthen the communities we serve” by implementing strategies to promote the overall image and brand of the credit union and its products and services. Primary responsibilities will be to develop high-quality, engaging content for various channels, including social media, blogs, website, and print materials. Oversee review platforms and serves membership through social communication channels; assisting with on-site promotion for events and charitable activities; reporting on content/platform analytics; and looking for opportunities that promote the Credit Union philosophy. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for managing social media platforms and enhancing our digital word of mouth through engaging, high-quality content that builds brand awareness, tells our story, and impacts our credit union’s success. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing and Community Relations team to execute integrated campaigns that support business objectives.
  • Write and optimize content for search engines to improve online visibility and drive traffic to our website.
  • Establish and enforce content governance standards, ensuring alignment with brand voice and style guidelines
  • Drive the creation and execution of content in alignment with our marketing strategy and content calendar. 
  • Identify content gaps and develop recommendations to support tailored help and consumer goals to drive conversions.
  • Manage reviews and assist with creating a positive digital experience. 
  • Write content in support of product campaigns, member experience and technology adoption goals.
  • Write, proofread, edit, and fact-check content, adhering to Capital Credit Union’s brand guidelines and best practices.
  • Partner and collaborate effectively within the Marketing department, and with other business units in the organization.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI-driven content tools (e.g., Jasper), and trends such as interactive content, personalization, and dynamic storytelling.
  • Create a variety of content formats, including blogs, vertical videos, social posts, case studies, and more. 
  • Conduct audience research to create personalized, engaging content that resonates with target demographics
  • Analyze metrics and refine strategies for improved engagement and audience targeting. Share reports with team monthly, or as needed. 
  • Represent our organization in digital formats through content and engaging with community efforts. 
  • Support continuous process improvements for the department and projects, through effective collaboration, documentation, and communication.
  • In addition to the primary duties, may assist the department in various other duties including, but not limited to, researching projects, special event participation and planning, such as grand openings or new product launches, and overall branding functions.
  • Some travel required to various branches, meetings, seminars, and conferences. 
  • Some weekend or after-hours activities required for content capture at select events. 

Necessary Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Creative Writing, or related field required. 
  • 3+ years of Content Creation and marketing experience a plus.
  • Copywriting skillset required. Able to adjust to brand voice and work within various mediums. 
  • Experience in social media strategy required. 
  • Experience and familiarity with SEO practices and strategies as it aligns with blogs and various digital content.
  • Proficiency in vertical videos, reels, stories, and other social media applications. 
  • Strong analytical mindset for tracking key metrics, growth and other KPIs through social platforms and other content metrics. Able to optimize strategy based on findings and share key insights to team on regular basis. 
  • Experience in social platforms, blog tools, digital publishing platforms, content management systems (CMS), and A/B testing platforms.
  • Management of review software a plus. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience using project management software a plus.
  • Experience in photography and videography a plus.
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player work ethic with the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
