Job description

Position Purpose:

Our dynamic Creative Services team plays a key role in shaping the visual representation of Charis Bible College and our diverse array of TV shows, events, and associated products. We are looking for a skilled Content Specialist, aka graphic design extraordinaire, who will contribute to the development and execution of innovative design solutions that effectively communicate our brand's vision and objectives. This role involves close collaboration with the Creative Services and Brand Manager to ensure that all designs are aligned with strategic goals and enhance viewer interaction.

Essential Duties:

  • Create and deliver graphic design assets for digital, print, TV, events, merchandise, and marketing campaigns while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Services and Brand Manager, marketing teams, and project managers to develop creative concepts that support strategic goals and audience engagement.
  • Design, review, and finalize high-quality visual materials that align with brand standards and campaign objectives.
  • Maintain and apply branding guidelines, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across all channels and departments.
  • Manage creative assets, photography equipment, file organization, and digital storage systems.
  • Edit and retouch photos as needed, supporting content creation efforts across the organization.
  • Develop SOPs and training resources to promote consistent, efficient workflows.
  • Analyze campaign performance data and apply insights to improve creative effectiveness and engagement.
  • Utilize AI design tools to accelerate content creation while ensuring all outputs meet brand standards and quality expectations.
  • Research and recommend emerging design trends, AI technologies, and workflow improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Proficiency in Canva for rapid content creation and team-accessible design work.
  • Experience with or strong willingness to learn AI image generation tools such as Ideogram, ChatGPT, NanoBanana, Claude Desktop, and Claude Design, and the ability to use them strategically for ideation, style-matching, and campaign asset creation.
  • Strong creative and visual skills with the ability to produce clean, dynamic, and engaging designs.
  • Good understanding of branding principles and the ability to apply them across a range of media.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with other team members and departments.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality visual content.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of content strategy and marketing principles to effectively contribute to campaign goals.
  • Strong project management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with proficiency in using project management software such as Monday.com to streamline processes and enhance team coordination.

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • A Charis Bible College graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design work, including digital, print, and multimedia projects.
  • Experience with digital content creation, including web design and social media graphics, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with or demonstrated interest in AI-assisted design tools for graphics creation is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of professional design experience, preferably in a media, educational, or entertainment environment.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
