Invite a friend Back to job search Job Description: Position Summary: Tommy Nobis Center is seeking a creative and motivated Communications Intern to support our communications, marketing, fundraising, and outreach initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, including social media, public relations, graphic design, and impactful storytelling. The ideal candidate is passionate about making a difference, eager to gain real-world experience in a mission-driven environment, and can effectively communicate our story in a meaningful and moving way.

Responsibilities: Assist in planning, drafting, and scheduling content for social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) Write client success features for website, newsletters and fundraising communications Help create graphics, flyers, and promotional materials using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite Conduct research to support marketing campaigns and outreach strategies Track media and social engagement analytics and prepare reports Help manage website updates and maintain media archive Assist with internal communications and special event promotion Support video and photography projects as needed Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions Experience and Skills: Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong working knowledge and experience with social media platforms and content strategies Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools preferred Detail-oriented, self-starter, and able to manage multiple tasks Passion for nonprofit work and commitment to inclusion Benefits: School credit to meet degree completion requirements Gain professional experience and build your portfolio Learn about nonprofit operations and disability employment services Network with professionals in communications and development Supportive team environment
