Job Description
Program Operations
  • Manages the daily management and supervision of the CIRCLE Space program.
  • Develops and implements the CIRCLE Space program
  • Oversee the implementation of program schedules, activities, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Monitor attendance, student sign-in/sign-out procedures, and dismissal protocols.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate program records and documentation.
  • Plan and implement LCCS' summer program
  • Maintain a program budget that generates a profit

Student Support & Supervision
  • Build positive relationships with students and foster a strong sense of community.
  • Support student engagement, behavior management, and conflict resolution using restorative and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Promote student independence, leadership, and responsibility.
  • Assist staff in implementing social-emotional learning practices aligned with the school's culture and values.
  • Respond appropriately to student needs, incidents, and emergencies.

Staff Leadership & Development
  • Manage supervision, scheduling, and support of after-school staff.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to program staff.
  • Lead onboarding and training of new employees and volunteers.
  • Help ensure adequate staffing coverage and effective deployment of personnel.
  • Serve as acting program leader in the Director's absence.
  • Work with the LCCS administration to identify and hire summer program faculty

Family & Community Engagement
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with families.
  • Communicate program updates, schedules, and important information to families.
  • Assist in addressing parent questions, concerns, and feedback.
  • Support family events, showcases, and community-building activities.
  • Promote the summer program, lead information sessions, and design promotional materials

Enrichment Programming
  • Assist in planning and coordinating a variety of enrichment opportunities including:
    • Arts and creative expression
    • STEM activities
    • Academic support and homework assistance
    • Physical activity and recreation
    • Leadership and service-learning opportunities
  • Collaborate with school staff and community partners to enhance programming.
  • Monitor program quality and student participation.

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Manage student registration and enrollment for the CIRCLE Space program.
  • Maintain attendance, billing, and program participation records as applicable.
  • Manages budget tracking, supply inventory, and purchasing requests.
  • Prepare reports and data related to enrollment, attendance, and program effectiveness.
  • Makes public presentations regarding the Circle Space program to the LCCS Board of Trustees, Friends of LCCS, and LCCS PTO
  • Covers the main office for administrative meetings
  • Manages the finances and materials associated with the summer program
  • Seeks out Grants to enhance the CIRCLE space program

Program is full-time with full health benefits, admission to LCCS for school-age children provided the employee resides in Jersey City, and LCCS has an opening in that grade level, participation in the Teacher Pension and Annuity Fund, and tuition reimbursement.
Salary Range $62,000-80,000-depending on experience
