Job description

Sonatype is the software supply chain security company. We provide the world's best end-to-end software supply chain security solution, combining the only proactive protection against malicious open source, the only enterprise grade SBOM management and the leading open source dependency management platform. This empowers enterprises to create and maintain secure, quality, and innovative software at scale.

As founders of Nexus Repository and stewards of Maven Central, the world's largest repository of Java open-source software, we are software pioneers and our open source expertise is unmatched. We empower innovation with an unparalleled commitment to build faster, safer software and harness AI and data intelligence to mitigate risk, maximize efficiencies, and drive powerful software development.

More than 2,000 organizations, including 70% of the Fortune 100 and 15 million software developers, rely on Sonatype to optimize their software supply chains.

You will be responsible for strategically developing cross-functional marketing campaign programs. At the intersection of branding, marketing, sales, analytics, and product marketing, this integral role will help define and implement end-to-end campaigns that drive growth in new logo acquisition and expansion. If you've got a passion for results, expertise in synthesizing multiple inputs and operate with a data-driven marketing approach, we're looking for you!

We're looking for a commercially minded B2B Campaign Manager who has experience building and executing integrated demand generation programmes within enterprise technology. You'll ideally come from cybersecurity, application security, DevSecOps, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, software engineering, AI, enterprise software or a similarly complex technology environment where multiple stakeholders influence buying decisions. Experience marketing into large enterprise organisations, particularly Global 2000 customers or regulated industries, will set you apart. We value candidates who have helped shift organisations from product-led to platform-led messaging, understand account-based marketing principles, and enjoy partnering closely with Sales to create pipeline rather than simply generate leads.
Experience from competitors or adjacent organisations such as JFrog, Snyk, GitHub, GitLab, Mend, Black Duck, Checkmarx, Veracode, Palo Alto Networks, Wiz, CrowdStrike, Datadog, HashiCorp, Docker, Red Hat, Atlassian, Microsoft, Google Cloud, AWS or other enterprise infrastructure and security companies would be highly relevant, but we're equally interested in exceptional marketers who have operated in similarly technical, high-growth B2B environments.

What you'll do:
  • Integrated Growth Mindset: Lead all aspects of strategy, development, execution, and optimization for full-funnel global campaigns - connecting with new users, paid accounts and users, and paid ingests.
  • Planning, coordination and execution of strategies and tactics, coordinated across sales, customer success and marketing to activate campaigns and achieve business outcomes; this will entail hands-on execution of, participation in, regional events, forecast calls, content development
  • Develop detailed creative brief for each campaign and program initiative that includes design direction, copywriting, targets, segmentation, content, goals, etc.
  • Support the development of campaign outreach strategies by audience and segment to identify appropriate communication vehicles and channel mix to support coordinated campaign objectives and performance targets.
  • Strategic planning and collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams (PMM, Analytics, MOPs, Brand, Creative, Comms, Content, Field Marketing, Sales, agencies, Partners, etc.) to develop impactful strategies/campaigns. Build innovative content and user experience to drive key business results.
  • Reporting and optimization: Measure and report on campaign results to distill learning and insights and socialize with business partners across broader teams. Optimize initiatives produced by performance metrics, conversions data/traffic analysis, etc. Staying updated on the latest emerging channels, martech, partners, and standard methodologies to continuously up-level our paid efforts.
  • Process and standardization: Help standardize planning, execution, and reporting to serve as a global center of excellence across the organization.

Who you are:
  • 8-10+ years of marketing experience in demand generation role with responsibilities of reporting on performance, ideally gained in a B2B and/or tech company
  • Proven ability to work with and impact decision-makers in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with effective capabilities in end-to-end, lifecycle, sales, and marketing initiatives
  • Experience generating and stewarding strategic briefs - prioritizing high-intent audience targets, optimizing user journeys, and guiding creative A/B testing, etc.
  • Experience with Marketing Automation, Digital Content Marketing, Social Media, SEO Experience with integrated marketing and sales lead flow and accountability reporting.
  •  Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Tableau, and other reporting tools.

Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience with campaign programs for SaaS tech company - agency or in-house.
  • Understanding of Software Developers, Engineers, DevOps personas.
  • Experience with growth use cases in Salesforce, Marketo, 6sense, Demandbase and other marketing technologies.
  • Experience in planning and driving paid media efforts across channels like GDN, Adobe Cloud, Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Hands-on experience leading the creation and execution of regional events
