Responsibilities

Creative Home Academy in Memphis, TN is looking for a childcare teacher to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working.


Position Overview

The Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.


Key Responsibilities

Safety, supervision and engagement of children between 6 weeks to 12 years old.

 Positive Attitude, coachable, team player, pride in work ethic.


Physical Requirements

Reliability

Follow regulations for DHS license childcare program

Core value of the program (Respect, Progressive, Fun and Integrity)

Be able to lift 35 pounds.

Mobility required.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED, Pass Background check, CDA in Infant and Toddlers or Preschool preferred, TECTA in Infant and Toddlers or Preschool required.
  • AA Degree in Early Childhood Education is a PLUS.
