JOB MISSION:

The Retail Marketing Associate Manager is responsible for developing and executing seasonal retail marketing briefs that strengthen brand affinity, drive consumer engagement, and support conversion across Running, Sport, and Lifestyle categories. This role leads the development of retail marketing creative briefs for seasonal campaigns, evergreen storytelling, athlete partnerships, and capsule collections.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external creative agency partners, the Retail Marketing Associate Manager will translate brand, product, and consumer insights into compelling retail experiences. The role partners cross-functionally with Global Marketing, Global Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, and Regional teams to deliver best-in-class retail marketing executions that elevate the New Balance brand globally.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead the development of retail marketing creative briefs for seasonal campaigns, brand storytelling initiatives, evergreen marketing programs, athlete integration, and capsule collections.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align on campaign objectives, asset delivery timelines, seasonal messaging, and content development.
  • Collaborate closely with Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations to support in seasonal toolkit planning and execution.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external creative partners to ensure high-quality, on-brand execution of retail marketing strategies.
  • Develop and implement processes, tools, and best practices that improve executional efficiency and drive global consistency across retail marketing initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships with regional retail marketing teams to support localization, scale brand storytelling, and provide visibility into future seasonal priorities.
  • Ensure all consumer-facing creative aligns with brand, category, and athlete guidelines while maintaining a premium brand experience across channels.
  • Support team with IWD Retail Marketing Integration.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, consumer insights, and retail innovation to identify opportunities that inform future marketing strategies.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 4-7 years of marketing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in retail marketing, visual merchandising, or a related retail-facing function.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, project management, Business, or related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, agile, and proactive with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker with a strong understanding of brand storytelling, consumer behavior, and retail marketing best practices.
  • Proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using Asana or similar project management platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or other creative/design tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $82,000.00 - $105,800.00 - $129,600.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
