Want to join our team as a Creative Lead, Content & Copy?

The Creative Lead, Content & Copy is responsible for crafting an elevated brand story for Cascade/Maverik Lacrosse through creative materials supporting brand initiatives. This position will lead copy development, conceptual development, internal pitching, story-telling and executing. This person must have a sharp background in leading campaign development and brand content initiatives with a social-first mindset. Knowledge and understanding of current/upcoming trends in content creation, digital and social are a must, along with having the ability to craft, maintain and amplify a cohesive brand story that spikes attention. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about finding creative ways to grow a legacy lacrosse brand.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a cohesive brand story that propels Cascade/Maverik Lacrosse to be top-of-mind in the lacrosse community.
  • Craft and evolve brand voice for consistency on all touchpoints across all channels.
  • Lead creative and conceptual ideation for brand content, product launches, events, and evergreen needs.
  • Cross-collaborate with marketing team to understand business objectives before making creative recommendations.
  • Confidently pitch ideas to marketing team and leadership with ability to react in real-time.
  • Influence creative team to work toward common goals and intervene when needed to keep things on track.
  • Ensure creative assets (copy, design & content) are optimized for social (IG, YT, paid), digital, ecomm, and retail channels.
  • Assist production team with planning, organizing and executing content productions.
  • Assist with freelance support if/when needed.
  • Possess deep understanding and interest around consumer-first content and how it impacts social channels.
  • Attend productions & content shoots (as needed) to create timely content for relevant platforms.
  • Stay up to date on industry tools, techniques, and best practices in social media, copywriting, and Ai.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of copywriting experience working in-house, agency-side or through other creative environments.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a mix of scalable creative campaigns and content executions.
  • Experience managing and/or collaborating with a nimble creative team.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite specifically Word & PowerPoint with familiarity on Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and other creative tools.
  • Proven ability to work within specifications of brand style-guide while elevating and evolving creative execution.
  • Self-motivated problem-solver capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Team player with collaborative skills, open to creative direction while possessing a strong personal point of view.
  • Comfortable presenting to a group/audience with excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Passion for men's and women's lacrosse (plus a general understanding of sports) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
