Duties and Responsibilities
  • Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines ensuring the right selection and set up is made regarding crane, lift or hoist
  • Inspects and assesses ground conditions as well as any possible overhead obstructions
  • Maintain equipment through daily inspections, to include performance of routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintain logs and records of operational activities
  • Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers and mobile cranes
  • Current TWIC card
  • Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements
  • Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime, when necessary
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials or instructions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records
  • Must have strong ability work well within a team environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Strong depth perception and quick reaction time
  • Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65lbs.
  • Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain all logs and operate machinery
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold
