Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect all applicable rigging.
- Hauling heavy materials and equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging equipment capacity and weight limits.
- Signal crane operator during lifts for directional or placement instructions.
- Climb structures with safety harness to guide and position load.
- Ensures rigging is safe and reliable before engaging in hoisting and lifting.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- NCCER or NCCCO crane rigger certified.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background/MVR that meets company requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively with others.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate with onsite project managers.
- Strong knowledge of math applications, weights, and measurements.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Problem solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify safety issues.
- Must be willing to follow safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
- Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs.
- Most be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects/materials.
