Job description

NABRICO Marine Products, Inc., is part of NABRICOโ€™s Inland Barge Group, and is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. NABRICO Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. NABRICO Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, NABRICO Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Make complex lifts and turns.
  • Operate a handheld remote controlled overhead crane.
  • Move and lift more than 10 tons and up to 65 tons
  • Responsible for daily inspection, assigned maintenance, and safe operation of assigned crane.
  • Ensure crane is properly secured at the end of each shift
  • Support other departments and/or machine operators as needed.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Youโ€™ll Need:

  • Onsite training as a Crane Operator will be provided.
  • Experience moving and lift more than 10 tons and up to 65 tons.
  • Work requires the ability to read and write to complete standard records
  • Knowledge and experience in operating controls, rigging principles, hand signals, and safe lifting procedures.
  • Must have the ability to operate crane and lift loads in a safe and non-hazardous manner to ensure the safety of operator and all other employees in the area.
  • At least 5 years of overhead crane experience.
