Marco Crane & Rigging has been an established Company since 1956. Marco Crane & Rigging has maintained its number one market share in Arizona, ranking in the top 20 in the U.S. and the top 50 in the world. We provide sales, leasing, service, parts, and riggings for cranes, concrete pumps, and other heavy equipment throughout Arizona, California, Guam, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. Not only has the Mardian family been in this business for three generations, but the personnel here have more combined experience than ANY other crane or concrete pump company in the Southwest! Our Corporate Office is located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona.
Marco Crane & Rigging is looking for a full-time Crane Operator for our Flagstaff branch. This position is responsible for the safe transportation, assembly, operation, and disassembly of hydraulic telescopic and lattice boom truck cranes, as well as lattice boom crawler cranes.
JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining the crane.
- Responsible for inspecting work site conditions before setting up the crane.
- Responsible for performing the lift safely based upon weather conditions and the capacity of the crane, utilizing knowledge of load charts and crane capacity.
- Perform Daily DOT inspections as required.
- Inspect the crane daily for any defects or malfunctions.
- Ensure all crane permits and certifications are current.
- Know and understand the standard hand signals for controlling crane operations
- Check the line on all drums daily.
- Perform daily maintenance and inspections per the operator’s manual.
- Responsible for servicing the main load block, the 2-part block, and all auxiliary blocks.
- Keep proper tools on hand for the crane(s).
- Other duties as assigned.
SAFETY
- Play an active role in the development of the safety culture, making safety a natural part of all work performed.
- Identify and report safety concerns.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform assigned duties in a safe manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma (or GED) plus any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of this position.
- Valid Class A CDL license.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Valid NCCCO certification or equivalent for operating a crane.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of hand signals.
- Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through skills.
- High level of accountability, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Forklift certified preferred.
- Willingness to take a drug and alcohol test as well as a background check.
*KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Knowledge of industry, must be able to use consistent exercise of discretion and judgement;
- Proper use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling; basic mathematics; legal and proper telephone etiquette and techniques; standard office software applications; standard office equipment;
- Application of data processing in the maintenance of records and reports;
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access) tools is essential;
- Knowledge of how to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
