Position Summary

The Logistics & Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all outbound and inbound logistics, warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and shipping performance. This individual will build strong carrier partnerships, drive freight cost reductions, improve warehouse efficiency, and ensure customers receive exceptional service through accurate and on-time shipments.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring equal parts strategic thinking, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics
  • Manage all inbound and outbound freight operations.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with freight carriers and negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Optimize routing, mode selection, and freight utilization to reduce transportation costs.
  • Analyze freight data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor carrier performance including on-time delivery, claims, and service levels.
  • Coordinate customer shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Warehouse Operations
  • Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting and disciplined warehouse processes.
  • Maintain organized warehouse layouts that maximize efficiency and safety.
  • Develop standardized operating procedures and continuously improve workflows.
  • Manage dunnage inventory and customer return programs.
Inventory & Planning
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cans, inks, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Finance to support production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages before they impact production.
  • Support forecasting and inventory planning initiatives.
Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance.
  • Promote a culture centered on safety, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster strong communication across all departments.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of logistics, warehouse, or supply chain leadership experience.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of LTL, FTL, parcel, and freight management.
  • Experience managing inventory systems and warehouse operations.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
